Location: Wrocław - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

The opportunity

 

We’re looking for a technical lead with strong Full Stack .NET development expertise to lead technical delivery of projects, guide developers, and contribute hands on to solution design and engineering for one of the solution delivery team within our Enterprise Technology. This is an excellent opportunity to work with global teams, drive high impact internal applications, and shape key technology initiatives across EY.

As a key member of the solution delivery team:

  • You will be leading a team of engineers and owning technical delivery of projects focusing on business demands
  • Design, build, implement and manage in-house developed as well as SaaS solutions

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for solution design, development, testing strategy, performance, security, and release readiness
  • Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
  • Responsible for translating design and solution architecture deliverables into more detailed design and build deliverables
  • Working closely with project managers to enable on-time, on-budget, and with quality project execution.
  • Monitors and manages adherence to application engineering methodologies, standards, code reviews to ensure activities are occurring as planned.  Identifies potential points of contention for missed activities and notify project leadership of situation and remediation plan
  • Minimizes technical exposure and risk on projects
  • Research and evaluate alternative technical solutions and propose the most efficient and cost-effective solution
  • Collaborating with vendor applications/ teams to integrate them into EY
  • Must be hands-on with development
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering team members
  • Estimate technical effort, create work breakdown structures, identify risks, and propose mitigation plans
  • Monitor adherence to development methodologies, tools, and KPIs
  • Ensure creation and upkeep of technical documentation, design artifacts, and knowledge repositories
  • Manage communication with stakeholders across teams and maintain alignment on objectives and progress
  • Contribute to defining engineering standards, development methodologies, and best practices
  • Anticipate technical issues, identify root causes, evaluate solution options, and drive timely resolution
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance delivery efficiency and product quality

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills needed to manage multiple technical challenges simultaneously per project in the portfolio
  • Proactively identifies and addresses application engineering strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Proactively anticipates project issues before they occur; defines the problem; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution.
  • Makes key decisions based upon input from team, group, and/or global leads; solid understanding of IT services principles; firm and business objectives and needs analysis.
  • Applies judgment in implementing application engineering methodologies, processes, and practices to specific requirements of projects/programs which may include product design engineering, information security, code maintainability and reliability.

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with intense drive to learn and adopt

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the fields of Computer Science or other related discipline

 

Experience:

  • At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in architecture, design, build, integration of scalable software solutions with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the role of a technical lead of a portfolio
  • Ability to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of application architecture
  • Ability to learn/understand the business processes associated with the portfolio to make sound technical decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing flexible sourcing options to deliver application engineering services
  • Demonstrated experience in working with application vendors/external resource providers and managing key contacts to deliver value for money
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
  • Keen and curious to align with the ever-changing technology trends

 

Technical skills:

  • Strong experience in Full Stack .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Web API).
  • UI development skills with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Angular or React; familiarity with Bootstrap/jQuery.
  • SQL Server knowledge—including T SQL, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
  • Experience implementing and consuming REST APIs; understanding of OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect authentication flows.
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud platform, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture is an added advantage.
  • Strong technical expertise in designing, developing, and implementing applications through the full life cycle.
  • Good communication skills and awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, taking ownership of modules and deliverables.
  • Experience providing supervision, guidance, and direction to team members.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and database normalization

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Exposure to SSRS, SSIS, or other MSBI technologies.
  • Knowledge of SFTP, encryption mechanisms, or secure data/file transfer.
  • Experience developing or troubleshooting custom interfaces with third party vendor applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
  • Can operate independently
