Client Rresponsibilities

  • Implement leading data and analytics-based audit tools and approaches in the execution of audits
  • Manage engagement economics and communicate significant issues to the Engagement Manager and Engagement Partners, as well as clients
  • Understand our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
  • Manage client expectations
  • Managing audit teams, including in managing and coordinating audit engagements, setting engagement strategy, its execution and conclusion on financial statements.
  • Manage audit engagements, manage risk and apply professional scepticism
  • Apply risk management policies and procedures on engagements with an understanding of global and local independence rules
  • Assist Partners with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships
  • Enhance EY’s brand positioning through strong external relationships across a network of existing and future clients
  • Building, fostering and maintaining client relationships
  • Provide strategic and relevant insight, connectedness and responsiveness to all clients

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(Nam)) or ACCA member.
  • Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques
  • Experience of the entire audit process
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Expreince within a blue-chip audit form would be advantagous
  • 1 to 2  years post articles Audit experience

 

Technical skills requirements

  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, including IFRS 9 and IFRS 7
  • Detailed understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
  • Understanding of Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures
  • Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
