The opportunity

We are currently seeking a Corporate Services Senior Manager to join our Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, and Cayman Islands (BBC) team in Bermuda. You will be joining the EY Corporate Services (EYCSP) team in the BBC which is part of our wider EY Law practice.  We integrate fully within EY, both in the region and globally, and leverage the existing growth platforms that EY already has, with their extensive list of clients, resources, and global presence

 

As the successful candidate, you will help lead the EYCSP corporate administration team by delivering corporate services, including licensing and regulatory services, managing relationships with existing and prospective corporate services clients and managing a team of corporate administrators. This role suits an experienced career-oriented professional with strong project management and communication skills wanting to further develop their leadership skills in a professional services environment.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach and develop a team of corporate administrative services professionals
  • Providing guidance on complex requests to junior members of the corporate administration team and providing coverage for members of the corporate administration team as required
  • Conduct scoping of new opportunities: develop proposals and participate in oral presentations; provide high-quality services/work products; build relationships with clients understanding their unique needs to provide a tailored service
  • Delivering corporate and regulatory services as required, including:
    • creating and maintaining electronic and physical records in accordance with EYCSP’s policies and procedures
    • inputting and updating client and statutory data in applicable EY systems
    • attending to filings with government and regulatory bodies as required
    • drafting routine minutes, resolutions, forms, correspondence, and other documents
    • assisting with both annual and ad hoc filings and billings
  • Managing relationships with existing and prospective clients of EYCSP, including:
    • liaising with prospective clients regarding the formation or transfer of entities
    • identifying and escalating opportunities to expand existing relationships and referring matters to an affiliated business as appropriate
    • ensuring the timely investigation and resolution of client complaints and escalating unresolved complaints as required
    • pursuing outstanding compliance requirements and making recommendations to address non-compliance
    • supporting and participating in client engagement initiatives and entertainment activities as requested
  • Assisting with the management of financial matters relating to EYCSP’s corporate services portfolio, including:
    • reviewing, approving and/or issuing invoices
    • monitoring and pursuing aged receivables
  • Supporting and promoting regulatory compliance applicable to EYCSP and its corporate services portfolio, including:
    • preparing and/or overseeing risk assessments and client acceptance reviews
    • conducting and/overseeing periodic reviews
    • requesting and reviewing new and updated compliance documentation and information as required
    • assisting the corporate administration team with routine and non-routine regulatory reporting as required
    • Build technical competence: keep updated on global trends, developments and regulations and apply them
    • Understand EY methodologies/tools to enhance service delivery, challenge current procedures to find new approaches
    • Assisting with ad hoc tasks and projects as requested

To qualify for this role, you must have

    • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
    • A minimum of 7 years’ of corporate services experience in a leading law firm, with demonstrated career progression and leadership skills
    • Comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations and best practices relevant to the provision of company management services to companies in Bermuda; experience providing services to companies one of more of the following locations would also be an asset: the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, and Cayman Islands
    • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills; problem-solving ability and attention to detail
       

Ideally, you will also have

    • Experience working within a professional services organization or a large corporate matrix organization
    • Experience driving new business opportunities and developing pipeline
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, as overtime will be required during peak busy season periods
    • Integrity within a professional environment
