EY's ambition is to be the leading ServiceNow partner in Oceania for AI-enabled business transformation. We help organisations navigate their most complex transformation challenges by combining deep ServiceNow expertise with people and organisational change, business design, and cyber, risk and assurance capabilities.

Our ServiceNow practice is growing, and we're looking for a Solutions Architect who can operate at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and business development. You'll shape end-to-end ServiceNow solutions for clients across New Zealand and Australia, lead complex multi-workstream transformations, and play a key role in pre-sales activities — helping us win the work as well as deliver it.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, delivery, and commercial leadership. You'll be equally comfortable defining platform architecture and governance, leading delivery teams, developing client relationships, and engaging with executive stakeholders on their transformation agenda.

This is a hybrid position based in Auckland or Wellington.

 

Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities   

Solution architecture and delivery

  • Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, IRM/GRC and emerging AI capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable and aligned to ServiceNow leading practice.
  • Provide architectural leadership across complex, multi-workstream engagements, defining solution standards, integration patterns, data models, governance frameworks and delivery approaches.
  • Serve as the technical design authority and trusted advisor for clients and delivery teams providing guidance, oversight and escalation support across programs.
  • Advise with clients on platform strategy, roadmaps, technical debt reduction and governance models that maximise business value and long-term platform adoption.

Pre-sales and business development

  • Lead the solutioning of new opportunities, shaping winning proposals, estimating effort, defining delivery approaches and developing compelling architectural responses to bids, RFPs and RFIs.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and confidently present solutions, outcomes and recommendations to executive and C-suite audiences.
  • Collaborate with EY account teams and ServiceNow to identify, qualify and pursue strategic growth opportunities across New Zealand and Australia.
  • Contribute to the growth of the practice through go-to-market offerings, thought leadership, industry insights and innovation accelerators.

People and practice leadership

  • Lead, coach and mentor consultants and managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, learning and career development.
  • Drive capability growth across the practice through recruitment, coaching, certification uplift and knowledge sharing.
  • Champion delivery excellence, quality outcomes and a culture of continuous improvement, helping to strengthen EY's reputation as a leading ServiceNow transformation partner.

  • Extensive industry experience, experience in technical leadership - leading larger teams
  • Significant experience in ServiceNow development, implementations with a deep understanding of platform architecture
  • Experience in IT solution architecture and understanding of enterprise architecture.
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, AngularJS, and other ServiceNow supported technologies.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes
  • Demonstrated ability to map solutions to address client business issues and problems
  • Experience leading distributed and offshore delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development.
  • A consulting background with strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capability and ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively and confidently present to senior audiences.
  • ServiceNow certifications in System Administrator, Application Developer, Implementation Specialist, or CTA are highly desirable.
  • Experience in strategy, business development, finance and budgeting desirable
