Climate change is driving an unprecedented transformation in the global energy sector. The energy industry is transitioning to a low carbon, decentralised future, facing a wide range of engineering and economic challenges along the way. Do you want to be part of this journey?

EY-ROAM is a leading provider of electricity market modelling services in Australia and New Zealand. Our role in the energy industry is to provide evidence-based insights, enabling our clients to make informed decisions amidst uncertainty and change. Our clients span the energy value chain including renewable energy and storage developers, energy sector investors, transmission and distribution network service providers, retailers, regulators and governments.

Recent projects include:

  • The 2023 and 2024 natural gas supply and demand studies,
  • Helping to develop new generation and energy storage projects. We undertake market due diligence and market modelling, including forecasting electricity prices, generation curtailment and auxiliary market outcomes, to support the development, financing, acquisition, sale and valuation of grid-scale batteries, pumped hydro, solar farms and wind farms, and
  • Informing the development of government and regulatory policy in the New Zealand electricity market.
