As a Manager in our EY Wellington Private team, you’ll have an opportunity to provide accounting and tax compliance, advisory and reporting services to a range of Private and Corporate tax clients. 

 

You’ll be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns, advising on tax matters and participating in planning the client’s business activities to optimise operating and tax solutions.

 

You will be responsible for;

 

  • Providing accounting technical expertise and advice on the application of tax law
  • Providing accounting and tax planning and structuring (inbound and outbound) advice
  • Assisting clients with their accounting and tax compliance, including tax calculations/reconciliations for the purposes of the financial statements
  • Preparing/reviewing income tax returns
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff members
  • Develop strong and broad relationships with clients

    • Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting, Business, Finance or law
    • CA or CPA qualifications
    • 5-7 years’ experience in accounting and tax consulting in top tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting or legal environment
    • High standard of written and oral communication, with a focus on developing strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels with internal & external clients. 
    • Strong knowledge-sharing mindset. 
    • Inherent teaming skills that extend beyond the typical structural approach to teamwork.
