As our Manager in Audit, you’ll help our clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters.

This is a hybrid position based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities
- Manage the audit engagement by defining audit strategy, in consultation with the Senior Manager / Partner, and executing it in compliance with our policies and protocols.
- Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
- Lead and manage fieldwork on clients’ sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process.
- Leverage your expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters.
Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success
- Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
- Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits.
- Knowledge of audit technical skills, audit methodology and audit documentation standards.
- A degree and/or progress towards/completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to create a positive learning culture, and coach and counsel junior team members to help them to develop.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach.
- Demonstrable experience of managing a project, with particular emphasis on time management and communication.
- The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing value added recommendations.
