Position overview: The Public Affairs Manager for the United Nations and related agencies global client service partner (GCSP) at EY will play a pivotal role in supporting the preparation and execution of GCSP activities. This position is expected to be non-chargeable and will involve supporting the firms’ engagement with UN and UN related internal and external activities, incl. preparation of GCSP activities, organizing visits and events, managing the coordination of high-level client meetings and follow-up actions, contributing to internal and external communications. This position is designed to work closely with the GCSP, the GCSP’s Executive Assistant, and the International Development Team leadership to ensure all engagement activities with internal and external stakeholders are are recorded and aligned. 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Preparation of GCSP activities:
•    Develop and manage the agenda for GCSP activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
•    Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of activities.


Organization of events and EY Leadership visits:
•    Plan, organize, and manage events and leadership visits related to the UN and related agencies, including logistics, invitations, and follow-up.
•    Ensure that events are executed smoothly and meet the desired outcomes.
•    Setting up client bilaterals


Follow-up on key meetings (internal and external):
•    Track action items and follow up on key meetings to ensure timely completion of tasks.
•    Prepare meeting summaries and reports for distribution to relevant stakeholders.


Preparation and follow-up on meetings of leadership and management group:
•    Assist in the preparation of materials for leadership and management group meetings.
•    Follow up on action items and ensure that decisions are implemented effectively

 

Preparation of internal and external communications:
•    Draft and review internal and external communications related to the UN GCSP including supporting UN & You call. 
•    Ensure that communications are clear, concise, and aligned with EY's brand and messaging.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

•    Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, International Relations, or a related field.
•    Work experience: Proven experience in a similar role (e.g. chief of staff, strategic communications, public affairs) within a global organization, particularly in the multilateral, humanitarian, or development sector. 
•    Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Englis. Extra: French.
•    Organizational & management skills: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
•    Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
•    Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
•    Interpersonal skills (see further below): Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
