The opportunity

We are looking for a Digital Regulation & Policy Consultant to join our growing consulting team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact international projects at the intersection of technology, regulation and public policy. You will support governments, national regulators and international development organizations in shaping regulatory frameworks that enable innovation, fair competition, consumer protection and trusted use of technology.

Our projects span areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital services and markets, electronic communications, cybersecurity, data governance, digital infrastructure and international connectivity across Europe, Asia and Africa regions.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Support consulting engagements related to digital regulation, technology policy, electronic communications and digital infrastructure.
  • Conduct research, data collection and analysis of technology markets, regulatory frameworks and industry trends.
  • Analyze legislation, regulations and policy documents and prepare recommendations for clients.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies, roadmaps, action plans and policy papers.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and other client deliverables, translating complex regulatory and technical topics into clear conclusions.
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops and consultations with regulators, ministries, international organizations and market participants.
  • Collaborate with EY professionals and international subject matter experts across multiple countries.
  • Support business development activities, proposals and project pursuits.

This position requires strong analytical thinking, curiosity and the ability to understand complex regulatory, policy, market and technology topics. You will thrive in this role if you are or have:

  • Interested in how AI, digital platforms, telecommunications and other technologies are regulated and governed.
  • Comfortable working with qualitative and quantitative information and identifying practical insights.
  • Able to structure complex problems and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Confident using AI-powered tools to improve research, analysis, problem solving and day-to-day productivity.
  • Motivated to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Proactive, adaptable, eager to learn and comfortable working across different technology and regulatory topics.
  • Comfortable engaging with public sector institutions, international organizations and private sector stakeholders.
  • University degree in Law, Economics, Public Policy, Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, International Relations, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in consulting, regulation, public policy, digital transformation, telecommunications, technology, or a related area.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to review legislation and policy documents.
  • Practical experience using AI-powered tools for research, analysis, content development or problem solving.
  • Excellent presentation and report-writing abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Salary: EUR 2500 – 3400 gross
