We’re looking for a Technical Consultant (Senior) who is experienced is delivering ServiceNow’s Integrated Risk Management (IRM) or Security Operations (SecOps) solutions to clients. The right candidate is a quick study, who thrives in an environment of continual change. They have demonstrable experience in ServiceNow implementation. Your key responsibilities 

  • Configure ServiceNow IRM and SecOps modules for client implementation projects
  • Develop applications (scoped and out of the box), configure notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, formatters, etc.
  • Configure integrations with various ServiceNow integration methods, such as web services, REST, SOAP, Data Sources, LDAP servers, and import set.
  • Actively participate in agile daily scrums, updating stories daily, documenting development progress and collaborating with project team members.
  • Ensure that all development adheres to ServiceNow development standards
  • Support and participate in client requirement workshops, working with product owner/stakeholders to configure/develop requested items and tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any potential issues, and work with ServiceNow support team for resolution where needed
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation
  • Stay updated with the latest releases, features, and functionalities of ServiceNow’s IRM and SecOps solutions


Skills and attributes for success 

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 5+ years of progressive experience with full software development life cycle and systems integration
  • 3+ years ServiceNow advanced development experience
  • Deep knowledge ServiceNow design and architecture
  • Experience with implementing ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management and Security Operations modules
  • Strong knowledge in ServiceNow development using most of the ServiceNow tools and features such as Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP, REST and/or JSON web services
  • Experience with HTML5, JAVA, jQuery, CSS, Angular.js
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations/problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner
     

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in Risk & Compliance, Third Party Risk Management, Security Incident Response or Vulnerability Response
  • Understanding of Agile practices, ITIL methodologies and Dev Ops.
     

What we look for 

  • Deep technical experience in IRM and SecOps domain and is able to provide best practice advice on the technical implementation for their respective domain areas.
  • Accountable for configuration of the platform, completing technical design documentation and unit testing their configuration work.
  • Responsible to ensure that the solution is developed using defined ServiceNow standards and best practices.
  • Customer focused, work collaboratively with other team members, such as Architects, developers, business analysts, QA Testers, and the operations team in troubleshooting support activities.
  • Help with proofs of concept, and explore new functionalities to get the most out of the ServiceNow modules for the business
  • Extract and maximise business value by providing solutions leveraging out of box functionality that best fits the business requirement.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $88,000 to $132,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
