As a design and innovation leader, you will collaborate across consulting, technology, and sector teams to help businesses define their digital vision, shape human-centered experiences, and solve complex transformation challenges.

As a senior member of our UXD capability, you will guide design strategy, facilitate workshops, craft compelling experience narratives, and lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering exceptional digital outcomes across web, mobile, immersive media, and static and motion content ecosystems. You will also play a key role in client interfacing, solutioning, and proactive support for pursuits and RFPs.

Your exposure across domains and your ability to combine design thinking, system thinking, and tech awareness make you a trusted advisor in large-scale transformation programs.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Manager 1 for our Digital & Emerging Technology Consulting practice in Trivandrum, India.

This is a hands-on design leadership role where you will:

• Conceptualize and guide design strategy, experience direction, and storytelling
• Lead and facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions
• Contribute and/or lead RFPs, proposals, and client pursuits
• Steer design thinking–driven discovery
• Provide creative direction and oversee high-quality UX/UI output
• Deliver across web, mobile apps, immersive experiences, static design, and motion/animated creatives
• Collaborate with technology teams with strong tech awareness (custom dev, low-code, ERP, BI, integrations)
• Leverage GenAI tools for research, ideation, and prototyping
• You will participate across the full design and delivery lifecycle—from insights and visioning to prototyping and solution shaping—while mentoring teams and championing design excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design Strategy & Execution
  • Analyze requirements from proposals, BRDs, product documents, discovery outputs, and workshop sessions.
  • Lead the development of experience strategies, service blueprints, user journeys, and conceptual frameworks.
  • Provide creative direction across UX, UI, service design, and static + motion creative teams.
  • Guide hands-on creation of early wireframes, interaction flows, prototypes, and experience narratives across web, mobile, and immersive platforms.
  • Oversee the definition and evolution of scalable design systems for enterprise platforms.
• Workshops, Facilitation & Design Thinking
  • Lead design thinking workshops—large or small—and co-creation sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Apply system thinking to simplify complex ecosystems and drive clear decision-making.
  • Translate insights into actionable design recommendations and north-star visions.
• Client Engagement & Business Growth
  • Act as one of the key client-facing leaders supporting discovery, POV creation, and design advisory conversations.
  • Contribute significantly to RFPs, RFQs, proposals, and pursuits, shaping the design-led solution approach.
  • Present design concepts, strategies, and narratives as a natural storyteller able to clarify complex ideas.
  • Identify opportunities for design expansion within accounts.
  • Collaboration with Technology Teams
  • Work closely with engineering, product, architecture, and data teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
• Maintain functional awareness of:
  • Custom application development
  • Low-code / Power Apps
  • Power BI dashboards and reporting flows
  • ERP / CRM modernization
  • Bridge design intent with delivery pathways and system constraints to ensure successful implementation.
• Generative AI & Innovation
  • Apply GenAI tools for research synthesis, ideation, variant generation, and rapid prototyping.
  • Shape AI-assisted workflows, conversational experiences, and intelligent interaction models.
  • Bring a forward-looking perspective on emerging interfaces, multimodal experiences, and evolving user behaviors.
• Team Leadership & Quality Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop UXD practitioners across research, interaction design, visual design, service design, and motion/immersive teams.
  • Ensure design governance, quality, and consistency across large transformation programs.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and excellence.

• Ability to work fluidly across domains; design is inherently horizontal.
• Comfortable with evolving tech platforms and AI-driven design workflows.
• Strong collaboration, leadership, and consulting presence.
• Ability to travel for client engagement, workshops, and project needs in MENA.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

• 15+ years of relevant design and consulting experience with a strong portfolio.
• Demonstrated success in UXD leadership within digital transformation programs.
• Strong foundation in design thinking, interaction design, and system thinking.
• Experience delivering across web, mobile, immersive, static, and motion formats.
• Proven ability to run workshops, lead strategic discussions, and present to senior stakeholders.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and multi-track agile delivery.
• High proficiency in English communication (written, visual, verbal).
• Ability to travel to EY offices and client locations across MENA.

Good to Have Skills

• Basic motion/animation or micro-interaction knowledge.
• Experience with After Effects / Animate CC.
• Experience in a design studio or consulting environment.
• Prior work with MENA-based clients or projects.
