The opportunity
As a PMO Analyst within the EY GDS Team, you will be responsible for providing support and enablement services as part of our EY GDS – TechOps team. You will engage in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution and alignment with organizational goals, supporting the PMO Lead in various initiatives.
In the role of Business PMO Analyst, you will oversee and manage our Business Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of the technology sector, and excellent leadership skills. You will drive strategic initiatives across the organization, ensuring that our projects are executed efficiently and effectively while supporting the PMO Lead in achieving overall objectives.
Your key responsibilities
- Project Oversight:
- Oversee the allocation management and overall projects within the team.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to scope and budget constraints.
- Governance and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain project governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards.
- Resource Management:
- Collaborate with department heads to effectively allocate resources across projects.
- Monitor resource utilization and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and senior management.
- Performance Tracking:
- Develop and implement project performance metrics and KPIs.
- Regularly report project status, risks, and issues to senior management.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure appropriate action plans are established.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices.
- Training and Development:
- Mentor and train project managers and team members on learning and development strategies, building execution plans.
- Organize workshops and training sessions to enhance project management skills within the organization.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation, ensuring all project artifacts are current.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior leadership.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project management tools and templates.
- Support the PMO Lead in strategic planning and resource allocation decisions.
- Analyse project data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Coordinate and schedule project meetings, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on action items.
- Support change management initiatives by assessing impacts and communicating changes to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for project management best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance collaboration and drive organizational objectives.

- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope and budget.

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and project tracking.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and data visualization techniques to transform complex data into actionable insights and compelling visual reports.
- Proficient in process documentation, preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and creating diagrams using Visio to effectively communicate project information and workflows.
- Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and training project managers and team members.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and the ability to implement best practices within the PMO.
- Experience in preparing and presenting project reports to senior leadership.
- Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call support as needed.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 6 - 8 years of work experience in project management, preferably within a PMO environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and JIRA.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI for reporting and insights.
- Experience in process documentation and preparation of presentations using PowerPoint and Visio.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong time adaptability skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
