Position: SAP - Cutover & Release Manager - Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) Preferably Engineering
- Minimum 3-4 E2E Implementation Project along with experience in Support / Roll out / Upgrade Projects
- Min 10-12 Years of relevant of consulting experience SAP Implementation
- 5+ years in SAP release management and cutover roles.
- Hands on experience with multiple full cycle SAP implementations (S/4HANA preferred).
- Strong background in release management lifecycle across development → test → production.
- Good understanding of functional/domain knowledge and Implementation Methodology
Professional Mandatory Requirements:
- Strong understanding of SAP modules, integration points, and technical architecture.
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive cutover plans including technical tasks, data migration, and business transitions.
- Coordinate with functional leads across the SAP functional modules and plan mock cutover rehearsals, readiness checks, and go/no go meetings with stakeholders.
- Oversee execution of cutover activities ensuring timelines and quality are met and manage communications during cutover, providing timely updates and issue escalation.
- Coordinate building of test environments and ensure correct integration sequencing.
- Oversee transport movement approvals and ensure compliance with SAP governance.
- Manage build/deployment pipelines and release automation tools.
- Develop contingency plans for potential cutover failures or delays as part of Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Coordinate/align cutover activities with project managers, release management, change management, and legacy system owners to ensure Business & IT Alignment
- Oversee hyper care handover and stabilization activities and Support early-life operations until systems stabilize
- Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile, and ITIL frameworks
- Should have experience in Agile/Hybrid methodology
- Should have experience in all the phases of a project
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, JIRA, ADO other Agile Project management tools etc.).
- Should be experienced with different project delivery models like onsite-offshore, onsite-nearshore-offshore, integrated delivery model etc.,
Added Advantage:
- Strong cross module integration knowledge
- Experience in areas such as HR,OTC, FICO, PP, QM, MM, MDG, Ariba
- SAP Activate/other module specific certification will be added advantage.
- Knowledge on Integration Modules like MM / QM / PP / FI-CO will be an added advantage.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Strong configuration hands on experience in e2e SAP implementation
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Strong program management, functional understanding of Finance & Operations, Supply Chain (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, PM/Plant Maintenance), and industry-specific process expertise to deliver compliant, scalable, and business-first outcomes.
- Understanding the Integration with MM / Procurement / PP / FICO modules and with external applications.
- Responsible for planning and executing SAP Implementation / Development / Support activities regard to SAP
- Understand client requirements, provide solutions, functional specifications and configure the system accordingly
- Analyse functional and technical needs and identify gaps and alternative solutions relative to existing design
- Ability to create Process Definition Document / Design Document (PDD) and Business Process Procedure (BPP) for the solutions provided.
General:
- Should have good written & communication skills.
- Should be able to handle the client individually.
- Ability to flex working hours to support US-based collaboration.
- Ability to travel if required.
- Middle East -SAP implementation experience preferred.
