EY – Cybersecurity Consultant
Overview
As a Consultant in EY’s Cybersecurity practice, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions across diverse domains. You will gain hands-on experience and contribute to engagements in:
- Security Operations Center (SOC) operations
- Offensive Security
- Operational Technology (OT/IoT/IIoT) Security
- Cybersecurity Strategy and Governance
- Cybersecurity Go-to-Market initiatives
- AI for Cyber (e.g., threat detection, automation) and Cyber for AI (e.g., securing AI models and data)
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop both technical and strategic consulting skills while working on real-world cybersecurity challenges.
The Opportunity
We are seeking early-career professionals with 0 to 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields such as Electronics, Instrumentation, or Computer Science. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to client engagements and internal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Support SOC operations including threat monitoring, incident response, and log analysis
- Assist in offensive security engagements such as vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Contribute to OT/IoT/IIoT security assessments and architecture reviews
- Participate in the development of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and governance frameworks
- Collaborate on go-to-market activities including solution development, client presentations, and proposal creation
- Apply AI/ML techniques to enhance threat detection, anomaly analysis, and automation
- Support initiatives focused on securing AI systems, including model integrity and data protection
- Assist in configuring and optimizing security tools and platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, etc.)
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, MDR
- Exposure to offensive security tools and techniques
- Understanding of cloud security and OT/IoT environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in cybersecurity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and delivery
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- B. Tech or M. Tech in Cybersecurity, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity or IT security domains
- Strong command of verbal and written English
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, SQL) is a plus
- Preferred certifications such as CEH, Certified SOC Analyst, Splunk, Power BI, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, Privacy, etc.
