SAP Project Manager - Senior Consultant

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) Preferably Engineering
  • Minimum 1 E2E Implementation Project along with experience in Support / Roll out / Upgrade Projects
  • 3-7 Years of Relevant experience
  • Domain Experience required

 

Professional Mandatory Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies and hands‑on experience managing SAP projects including risks and dependencies.
  • Solid understanding of SAP implementation methodologies (SAP Activate).
  • Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA projects, including Fit-Gap, Data Migration, Testing, Cutover & Hypercare
  • Proven experience in client‑facing roles with strong stakeholder management and delivery discipline under tight schedules
  • Ability to proactively identify resourcing needs and effectively manage capacity across the program lifecycle
  • Good understanding of RICEF objects & familiarity with business process mapping.
  • Collaborate with business users to convert Functional and Technical requirements into solutions
  • Good understanding of functional/domain knowledge. Exposure to SAP functional areas such as HR / PM / Supply Chain / Manufacturing / Finance.
  • Proficiency with project management tools: MS Project, Primevera, Smartsheet, JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), ServiceNow etc.
  • Ability to research and recommend industry best practices for optimal business process design

Added Advantage:

  • Any SAP Activate or any module certification.
  • Preferred industry exposure: Oil& Gas, Manufacturing, P&U, Supply Chain
  • Knowledge in master data governance and key integration touch points
  • Knowledge on Integration Modules like MM / QM / PP / FI-CO will be an added advantage.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support engagements.
  • Strong configuration hands on experience in e2e SAP implementation
  • Conduct requirement-gathering workshops, training sessions, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure strong project governance, documentation, and adherence to delivery milestones.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource needs, and delivery plans while developing and monitoring project schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and business stakeholders while conducting regular status meetings, steering committee updates, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless module integration (MM/QM/PP/FICO and external systems).
  • Coordinate testing cycles, defect triage, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Plan and lead cutover activities—including data migration, system setup, readiness checks—and develop contingency plans, rollback strategies, and execution sequences.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation: Process Definition Documents (PDD), Business Process Procedures (BPP), functional specs, etc.
  • Identify gaps, analyse functional/technical needs, and propose alternative solutions.
  • Evaluate process gaps and recommend SAP‑aligned improvements while leading enhancement projects, change requests, and optimization cycles, ensuring a smooth transition to support teams after stabilization.
  • Independently manage client communication and stakeholder expectations.
  • Flexibility to work with US, Europe & Middle East-based teams and travel if required.
