Job Title: Product Line Lead – Personal Performance & Individual Reporting Product Line

Function: Finance

Sub-Function: Reporting & Data Analytics – FP&A

 

The opportunity

The Personal Performance & Individual Reporting Product Line Lead owns the tools targeted towards users of personal performance, personal utilization reports and analytics as well as special reports for a certain customer group often required by countries for local or statutory reasons. The Product Line lead is responsible for providing tailored solutions which contain the key information needed by the target audiences allowing for quick and easy identification of critical items or potential risks that require action. This is achieved through the product line lead who ensures that the product line team works on priority items, their activities are coordinated and functions also as one of the main contact points for end-users, key stakeholders as well as within the Reporting and Data Analytics sub-function (R&DA). Personal performance and utilization are critical topics within EY and this product line targets all employees within EY. The role holder needs to work very closely with the other product lines as the data required for performance reporting is very common with the operational and management reporting of the other product lines.

The R&DA ensures that EY is keeping pace with the many analytical and technological changes taking place in the business world, evolving our tools and the way we look at information, to best support the client serving as well as corporate responsibilities in a rapidly changing business world.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Own the vision and roadmap of the Personal Performance & Individual Reporting Product Line based on overall strategic goals and input from key stakeholders (mainly global Finance, Talent and Markets)
  • Lead the entire team including defining and setting the priorities based on the most critical backlog items and critical delivery dates
  • Coordinate activities between other technical and Quality Assurance (QA) teams, functioning as the link to the other solutions ensuring consistency and alignment on Product Line-crossing projects and dependencies
  • Manage releases including all relevant items including planning, development, testing and validation, deployment, communication, trainings and change management
  • Ensure consistency, focus on design principles and that team follows internal processes
  • Act as the link to R&DA leadership as well as external stakeholders discussing and aligning on key priorities for the product line
  • Regularly meet with other product line leads to ensure consistency across solutions and processes and leverage potential synergies
  • Focus on the intended target audiences of the tool and be visible and approachable
  • Lead global training activities, support regional efforts and manage customer communities
  • Lead product line communications about issues and upcoming updates, in alignment with R&DA’s overarching communication strategy
  • Support regular internal audits (ISQM reviews)

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong communication, moderation, and presentation skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Good business perspective and a broad understanding of the key performance indicators and their relationship to EY’s strategy
  • Good understanding of the key financial business rules and the performance measurement restrictions as well as an overview of the key source systems (e.g. Mercury, MDM and GRP/P&B)
  • Ability to navigate challenging and complex environments as well as the ability to convey difficult messages
  • High personal quality standards and detail-oriented mind-set
  • Fluent English skills

Experience

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 5 plus years of experience in a finance or markets/business development department or running change management programs
  • Experience discussion with senior leadership and partners
  • Relevant business experience within EY
