CMS-TDR – Manager (WAF/SWG/MSEG- Akamai Kona/Netskope/Illumio)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Security Manager to lead enterprise wide Web Application Firewall (WAF), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Micro Segmentation (MSEG) capabilities. The role focuses on platform ownership, team leadership, and security strategy, with strong exposure to Akamai Kona, Netskope, and Illumio across hybrid and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage WAF, SWG, and Micro Segmentation security programs across enterprise environments.
• Own and govern platforms including Akamai Kona (WAF & DDoS), Netskope (SWG/SSE), and Illumio (Micro Segmentation).
• Drive secure architecture aligned to Zero Trust and SASE/SSE principles.
• Oversee policy design, tuning, and optimization to reduce risk and false positives.
• Act as the escalation point for major security incidents involving web, internet, or lateral movement threats.
• Manage and mentor security engineering teams; define skills, goals, and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with SOC, cloud, network, and application teams to improve security posture.
• Work with vendors, support audits, and report security risks and metrics to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12+ years of cybersecurity experience with 3–5+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong hands on and leadership experience in:
• WAF (Akamai Kona preferred)
• Secure Web Gateway / SSE (Netskope preferred)
• Micro Segmentation (Illumio preferred)
• Solid understanding of web application security, cloud security, and zero trust architecture.
• Experience integrating security platforms with SOC/SIEM environments.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large enterprise, MSSP, or consulting environments
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor specific certifications
• Exposure to compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS
