Job Title : Assistant Director- Product Manager : EDS
Role Summary
The Assistant Director – Product Manager is a senior, stakeholder‑facing role responsible for driving growth through product and solution management, demand creation, and adoption of Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, and AI services across internal EY functions.
The role focuses on originating and shaping analytics opportunities, partnering with internal service lines such as Talent, Procurement, Finance, Risk, and other enabling functions to identify business challenges and position data‑led and AI‑enabled solutions that deliver tangible business value.
Role Purpose
- Drive internal business development for EDS by identifying, shaping, and promoting analytics and AI use cases across EY Enablement functions.
- Position EDS as a strategic, value‑oriented partner to internal stakeholders rather than a delivery‑only function.
- Translate stakeholder priorities into analytics‑led problem statements and solution opportunities.
- Enable sustained adoption of Business Intelligence, Data Science, and AI solutions by aligning offerings to real business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Business Development & Opportunity Identification
- Proactively engage internal EY functions to understand strategic objectives, operating challenges, and decision‑making needs.
- Identify opportunities where analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or AI can drive efficiency, insight, risk reduction, or value creation.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of analytics initiatives aligned to stakeholder priorities and EDS capabilities.
- Position analytics and AI services using business‑oriented value narratives, avoiding technical jargon.
Solution Shaping & Consulting
- Lead problem‑framing and solution‑definition discussions with stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear analytics problem statements, solution concepts, and high‑level approaches.
- Recommend appropriate solution types across:
- Business Intelligence and Reporting
- Descriptive and Diagnostic Analytics
- Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics
- Data Science and Machine Learning
- Applied AI use cases
- Ensure solution concepts are outcome‑driven, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards.
Technical Credibility & Translation
- Apply strong working knowledge of data platforms, analytics, Data Science, and AI concepts to:
- Assess feasibility of use cases
- Set realistic expectations on outcomes
- Guide stakeholders toward appropriate solution choices
- Act as a translator between business language and analytical approaches, ensuring clarity and alignment before initiatives move into delivery.
Value Articulation & Adoption
- Develop and communicate business cases, success measures, and value realization narratives for analytics initiatives.
- Support prioritization of use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Drive stakeholder buy‑in and sustained engagement through clear articulation of benefits and outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications
- Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or MBA with strong quantitative focus.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Analytics, Data, Data Science, AI, Consulting, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, solution consulting, or internal advisory roles, preferably in large, complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data and Analytics concepts
- Business Intelligence and reporting
- Advanced Analytics, Data Science, and AI use cases
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape demand for analytics‑led solutions.
- Educational background in Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Management, or equivalent quantitative discipline.
