The opportunity
The GDS Entrepreneurship Coordinator will help Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) program leaders/ program managers bring external and/or internal marketing programs to life by understanding the EY business & marketing strategies and transforming business priorities into world-class execution and delivery. BMC programs will create measurable impact globally and locally, integrate across sectors and deliver sustainable results. Multi-channel programs can include thought leadership reports and articles, web presence, social media, paid campaigns, events, media outreach, internal communications, webinars, email campaigns and other digital initiatives.
This role is critical to the success of EY's flagship entrepreneur program, Entrepreneur of The Year (EOY) amongst other key marketing initiatives. This position has responsibility for supporting key elements of the EOY program operations and execution for the 12-month program cycle. Responsibilities include assisting with research, tracking, program collateral and reporting, along with market-facing activities with EOY sponsors, judges and nominees. Outside of the EOY program, the GDS Entrepreneurship Coordinator will assist with other marketing programs in a similar capacity.
The GDS Entrepreneurship Coordinator must have the right balance of attention to detail, project management, database management, strong Excel skills and professional polish. Working closely in an agile team, the successful candidate will be required to understand the capabilities of the current GDS teams and manage BMC expectations by building relationships and collaborating closely within the BMC team and client-serving subject matter experts. The Coordinator will also need to have hands-on experience managing the execution of a campaign or event, including creating the timeline, managing the budget, collateral, communication, social media and measuring campaign performance.
Your key responsibilities
- Campaign and project management: Combine knowledge of project management, marketing tactics, the EY business and client/customer base in order to create and maintain project plans for BMC's most critical multi-channel campaigns, including EOY.
- Serve as a core member of the local EOY team.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of EOY target lists, working closely with the local EOY team, helping to identify and vet potential targets.
- Support local EOY team with planning and execution of various events throughout the program
- Manage reporting and EOY database throughout the life cycle of the program
- Collaborate with local EOY team to manage the site visit and finalist interviews scheduling processes
- Support the collection of required program deliverables such as interview forms, executive summaries, nominee photos, working closely with the local EOY team.
- Help with research projects related to EOY targeting, identifying sponsors and judges pipeline.
- Support other key marketing campaigns, including project management, budget tracking, communication, collateral and reporting.
- Communication: Manage relationships with key stakeholders within BMC, and across geographies and functions (Business development, Markets, Talent, Finance, etc.). Conduct regular meetings with your team, present progress reports, and analyze the results of completed campaigns.
- Campaign optimization and reporting: Support and advance continuous ad campaign optimization efforts including analyzing campaign results, gleaning insights for future testing. Create status overview and performance reporting for BMC programs and projects for various executive stakeholders. Ad hoc request management/execution: Support the BMC team in other administrative tasks related to programs.
Skills and attributes for success
- Campaign management skills and knowledge, hands-on marketing experience, organization and prioritization skills, and attention to detail. Ability to quickly build knowledge of the EY business, particularly the key priorities, structure, internal and external audience, core offerings and our clients’ issues and agendas across sectors and geographies globally.
- A solid understanding of different aspects of marketing (e.g. PR, communications, brand, digital, social media)
- Powerful business acumen, with ability to put data in the context of a customer problem and know where to look when exposed to large amounts of data.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously
- Team player with a knack to motivate the team to deliver programs within a stipulated timeframe
- Ability to bridge any gap between the BMC expectations and the GDS capabilities
- Develop and apply creative solutions to complex issues.
- Apply excellent English communication skills - oral and written.
- Professional polish and confident level of engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Assert own ideas, gain support and commitment from executive level stakeholders and mobilize others to act.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to generate meaningful, actionable information that helps drive change and campaign improvements
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of total B2B marketing experience in professional services or similar industries
- 4 years’ experience in end-to-end events/corporate event management.
- Experience on doing market research
- Experience on database marketing
- Excellent written, oral and presentation communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to manage complex processes and/or projects at a global level
- High level of networking, team building and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Technical skills:
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office, including Excel (including developing pivot tables) and PowerPoint
- Experience with Tableau, Adobe web platform, Adobe analytics/webtrends/Google analytics, Sprinklr/Hootsuite, Sysomos, any eMail marketing tool, Google Adwords,
- Experience with digital marketing analytics including analyzing digital ad and social media performance
- Must be amenable to work on night shift
Ideally, you’ll also have
- An MBA with a major in Marketing or a MS (Marketing)
