The opportunity
As an Account Intelligence and Marketing Specialist you will spearhead the development and deployment of marketing materials and will play a key role in providing client insights and actionable data for precise, targeted marketing initiatives.
This role requires a dynamic individual who can analyze market dynamics, craft targeted content strategies, and provide in-depth insights into client behavior and preferences to enhance engagement and drive effective marketing campaigns.
Your key responsibilities
- Market research
- Conduct comprehensive research on market dynamics, analyzing competition, and identifying emerging trends relevant to executive preferences.
- Collect insights on the most vocal executives’ motivations and challenges to develop targeted content strategies.
- Continuously monitor executive engagement in industry events and media for trends that impact marketing strategies.
- Utilize time-based scans and in-house event capabilities to strategically gather actionable insights, aiding in content personalization.
- Research and craft personalized talk points and content, aiding teams in engaging with key executives effectively.
- Account Intelligence
- Provide detailed client intelligence, capturing actionable insights to inform tailored marketing strategies and foster personalized client relationships.
- Analyze client engagement with our content and initiatives to refine marketing tactics and improve client interaction and conversion rates (field of play focused and key buyer targeted)
- Support the sales team by delivering precise insights for both one-to-one client meetings and broader marketing campaigns, enhancing client acquisition and retention.
- Storytelling expertise and content development
- Develop impactful narratives showcasing the benefits of EY’s offerings for stakeholders (field of play focused and key buyer targeted).
- Align storytelling with EY's branding and messaging for consistency.
- Ensure all marketing collateral is consistent with our brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
- Simplify complex technical information for broad stakeholder understanding.
- Present case studies and success stories evidencing the efficacy of EY's offerings.
- Gather and integrate stakeholder feedback to enhance storytelling techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create content tailored to various customer journey stages.
- Produce diverse GTM materials, including toolkits, client decks, user guides, and talktracks.
- Seamlessly align marketing materials with EY's brand identity, boosting awareness and recognition.
- Strategically choose promotional channels based on research insights, maximizing reach and impact.
- Collaboration
- Partner with EY Canada BMC team members to leverage valuable insights and case studies, enriching marketing materials for effective client positioning.
- Engage with our BMC colleagues to seek approval and alignment on content strategies, ensuring they resonate with business objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with our BMC colleagues to integrate branding elements, ensuring consistency, and amplifying EY's larger positioning efforts.
- Stakeholder Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for GTM assets creation.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects and create mitigation strategies (with PMO) to address them.
- Establish and enforce quality control processes to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop a clear and effective communication plan to keep all project stakeholders informed of progress, changes, and key decisions.
Skills and attributes for success
- B2B marketing and storytelling skills and knowledge, hands-on marketing experience, organization and prioritization skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly build knowledge of the EY business, particularly the key priorities, structure, internal and external audience, core offerings, and our clients’ issues and agendas across sectors and geographies globally.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Expertise in dissecting market trends, competitor behavior, and customer feedback to drive strategic decisions.
- Apply excellent English communication skills - oral and written.
- Preparing detailed reports that summarize findings and recommendations for executive decision-making.
- Leveraging social media and digital tools for market analysis and relationship building.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to generate meaningful, actionable information that helps drive change and project improvements.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is required. An MBA or MS in Marketing is preferred.
- Experience: Over 8 years of end-to-end marketing management experience and more than 12 years in B2B marketing, preferably within professional services or similar sectors, with a proven expertise in managing global-level processes and projects.
- A proven record of go-to-market & activation supporting complex, multi-year services and solutions at leading clients.
- Demonstrate success in building internal and external relationships at a senior level, and ability to constructively challenge stakeholders to open new ways of working.
- Excellent project management skills, proven team building and interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Executive presence, strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others.
- Expected percentage of time spent per activity: Activation and PMO (50%) / Content curation and content writing and marketing (50%).
