Job Title-Account Centricity PMO

Global Delivery Services (GDS) is one of EY's greatest global assets – a network of service delivery centers that supports all EY member firms, service lines, sub-service lines, geographies, and sectors. GDS provides enabling services via two service delivery entities: GDS Client Services work with engagement teams in Assurance, Consulting, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Client Technology from pursuit to delivery; GDS Enablement Services powering EY’s enablement functions to operate efficiently, improve productivity and reduce indirect costs. These services help EY win work, deliver faster, improve consistency and quality, and protect margins, while EY clients experience exceptional service from an efficient and effective global organization. GDS is the power behind the evolution of EY’s services and is central to EY’s strategic ambitions. GDS has an ever-increasing footprint across the world, including centres in India, Philippines, Poland, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, UK, Sri Lanka, and Hungary. GDS headcount is approximately 72,000 (as of July 2024).

 

Job Summary:

GDS is currently running a program called Account Centricity Program (ACP) aligned with the Client Centricity pillar of the firm’s strategy. This is a program to drive account centric growth and future for GDS Client Services. The contractor is expected to be trained and made available to support with the program execution working with the program leader and other team members.

 

Purpose of the Job:

 

Program execution support

  • Provide program management office support for ACP that includes among other things the following:
    • Content development
    • Research and analysis
    • Reporting
    • Updating and maintaining operations trackers
    • Account team operations
  • Prepare high quality research reports or presentations on business or sector related topics
  • Prepare high quality presentation packs for account meetings
  • Summarizing key discussion points and plan of actions from meetings
  • Manage schedules and be accountable and committed to meet turnaround timelines for deliverables and activities
  • Assist in creative solutions to problems that come up at the program or account team level

 

Develop/sharpen skills (Initial two weeks)

  • Attend trainings relevant to Account Centricity and attend ACP orientation sessions
  • Learn about EY and GDS Client Service offerings
  • Sharpen skills on Business/Sector research, MS Power Point, MS Excel, Power BI, etc.
  • Familiarize with business management concepts and be able to understand the big picture, objectives and expectations in program management.

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Use secondary research and internal EY reports, databases and other resources to come up with insights and analysis on clients
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly dashboards/ reports to track and report program progress
  • Work both independently and within teams, including virtual teams, on high visibility and time sensitive requirements
  • Confidently interact with leaders at Senior Manager and above levels

 

Knowledge, Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • Strong secondary research skills and insights building capability
  • Strong in project coordination
  • Strong command over English language for effective business communication – both oral and written
  • Strong MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills.
  • Number crunching skills and comfort with basic applied mathematics
  • Good understanding of marketing and economics
  • Critical thinking and logical reasoning skills to be able to analyze scenarios, documents, reports and substantiate observations
  • Ability to develop alternatives and suggest best suited solutions to problems
  • Optional: Working knowledge of analytics and visualization tools like R/Python/Power BI etc. will be very relevant differentiators.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to occasionally stretch beyond normal working hours on need basis.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education:

  • Graduation in any stream, but preferably B.Tech/B.E or BBA
  • Post-Graduation: An MBA (or equivalent) from a reputed Tier 2 business school

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in large organizations preferably in Strategy/ Business Operations/ Project Management/ Client Services
  • Experience in management consulting, analytics, research and competitive intelligence will be very relevant differentiators.
  • Experience working in a consulting organization or in professional services preferred.
  • Experience of working in a cross-border, virtual environment would be beneficial.
