Your key responsibilities

  • As a Transformation Delivery Business and Benefits Realization Manager, you'll work as part of a transformation delivery team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage the Benefits Realization Management (BRM) Lifecycle for large transformations.
  • Responsible for identifying core activities that should be undertaken during the BRM lifecycle.
  • Establishment of the Benefits Realization Framework
  • Forecast realistic benefits to produce business cases which address business issues and objectives and provide a route to measure strategic and organizational success.
  • Outline costs and benefits to drive business objectives.
  • Facilitate an organization-wide understanding of the benefits a project or programme will produce and be able to measure when they are realized.
  • Enable organizations to demonstrate more efficient and effective practices through better use of available resources. This enhances an organization's ability to retain motivated and skilled change management staff and to attract investors.
  • Planning the implementation of benefits management, select appropriate strategies to measure and sustain progress.
  • Recommend, select, and adapt BRM principles practices and techniques to suit different organizational environments.
  • Responsible and Accountable for transformation success underpinned by delivery of expected benefits.
  • Responsible for maintaining benefits realization repository, from identification through sustainment; with strategic oversight of the full range (portfolio) of benefits being projected across the client organization.
  • Work directly with the client and stakeholder groups to identify, plan, measure, and track benefits from the start of the transformation, project, or program investment until realization of the last projected benefit.
  • Establish and execute an effective monitoring approach that measures progress against strategic goals.
  • Oversight and direction of transition into business as usual and embedding of the new capability to deliver expected benefits.
  • Consult on industry best practices and services like benefits realization, business case development, quality assurance, decision management, document management, etc.
  • Engage with leadership and other senior stakeholders to understand the program outcomes and incorporate these into the benefits monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Establish and reinforce alignment that benefits management is the common thread between transformational delivery and successful change management. That is, that successful transformation delivery is more than being on time, within scope and budget, and extends to realization of business benefits.
  • Develop high impact reports to demonstrate monitoring outcomes and progress towards benefits realization.


Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Benefits management principles, practices, techniques, roles as applied from Benefits Management Foundations and BRM Practitioner
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or an acceptable amount of professional experience working in a matrixed global environment
  • Ability to comprehend business processes and impact to projects at an enterprise level.
  • Ability to lead people, projects, and interact with varying levels of management
  • Advanced ability to work within a virtual team environment, including virtual resource management
  • Effective resource management skills to meet project demands
  • Experience in presentation, organization, and facilitation
  • Experience working with diverse organizations (directly or virtually) in various geographic locations
  • Experience in Benefits Realization management and navigation of the full BRM lifecycle
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Benefits Realization management experience
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience, benefits realization, business analysis, project and change management delivery.


To qualify for the role you must have

  • Relevant degrees and certifications such as (CBAP, Benefits Realization training and/or certification) such as Managing Benefits, Foundation and Practitioner certification by APMG
  • Business Analysis and Business case development
  • Project Management experience


Ideally, you will also have

  • Project management experience (PMP) is a strong plus
  • Functional experience in Resource Management and/or Change Management is a plus
  • Functional experience in Information Technology (IT) is a plus
