The opportunity
We are currently seeking candidates to join our Technology Strategy and Transformation (TS&T) team at EY in beautiful Vancouver BC. Within TS&T, we are focussed on helping innovative clients plan their technology vision and then bring it to life. We are outcome orientated, solution focused and committed to providing innovative outside the box solutions as unique as the companies we work with.
We are looking for candidates with experience or a passion for one or more of the following areas:
- Program Delivery: Help client stakeholders on their most complex portfolio & program challenges and provide advice on program delivery activities such as, program setup & rapid mobilization, scope & cost management, schedule & resource management, project management activities around design, implement and sustain operations as well as quality and risk management.
- IT-enabled Business Transformation and Value Creation: Help clients design the transformation of their business by leveraging technology-enabled solutions. Uncover new value creation opportunities by transforming digital experiences, business processes and associated enabling technology.
- Technology Strategy and IT Operating Model: Help our clients align their technology and digital strategy to their strategic direction. Capabilities within this include current-state assessments, technology and digital roadmap development, next generation IT operating model design, sourcing structure, organization design, organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, governance structure, performance, risk management, and sourcing.
The Team
EY's Technology Transformation practice helps clients solve complex and rapidly evolving business challenges through modern, analytical, and strategic technology-enabled solutions
- We drive large-scale transformations forward through setting vision and direction, designing target operating models and roadmaps, establishing effective governance, preparing for technological change, digital transformations and managing programs and relationships.
- We empower our clients to create business value by selecting the right business model, the right vendor and system, enhancing technology capabilities and enterprise architecture, and optimizing processes and performance.
- We guide our clients in determining the right operating model, spectrum of partners and levels of integration required through technology and services.
- We guide our clients in adopting innovative, agile and product management strategies.
- We design and deliver digital transformations to elevate customer, user, and employee experiences.

Your key responsibilities
An important part of your role will be to actively deliver on the engagements to support our client needs. This includes
- Developing work products (e.g. Tactical Operating Models, Program Plans, Business Enablement Strategies, Gap Assessments etc.) and assets to meet our client deliverables as well as establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships.
- Anticipating and identifying risks within engagements and raising issues with senior members of the team.
- Help to create a collaborative work environment, positive learning culture, and coach/counsel junior team members to help us all develop and grow.
- Demonstrating and understanding business strategy concepts, business/technology transformations, operating models, service delivery transformation all while considering the disruptive technology trends (e.g. DevOps, Agile, AI/ML, Cloud, APIs) which are prevalent in today’s technology landscapes.
- Delivering quality services by establishing plans and objectives, adopting strong program/project management, and implementing practices to achieve high quality deliverables within expected timeframes.
- Monitoring progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Understanding the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers and business trends.
- Keeping up to date with current developments and trends in consulting services capabilities and industry knowledge. Get involved in the development of points of view, thought leadership, business development and market opportunities.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical mindset in terms of taking abstract questions and issues and structuring them into manageable, specific work streams
- Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams
- Knowledge and passion for technology in business
Ideally, you’ll also
- Have either 4+ years of professional experience, a degree or relevant professional designation (MBA or MSC are preferred, Certifications such as PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL, SAFe and others are considered relevant).
- Experience with project delivery lifecycle management tools such as JIRA, AzureDevOps and Microsoft Planner.
- A willingness to work in person within a hybrid team based in downtown Vancouver.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
- Vancouver: $64,000 to $96,000
