The opportunity

Join the Transaction Strategy and Transformation team at EY, where you’ll help clients modernize legacy applications by embedding AI solutions. This role focuses on leveraging AI to assess legacy applications for cyber risks and to identify specific vulnerabilities, supporting clients in their digital transformation journeys. You’ll work with diverse teams and cutting-edge technology to deliver strategic value and innovation.

Your key responsibilities

• Support projects that integrate AI into application modernization initiatives
• Use AI tools to review legacy applications, identify cyber-attack risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate technical solutions into strategic outcomes
• Deliver value realization and strategy work, ensuring clients achieve measurable benefits from modernization efforts
• Participate in client-facing engagements, workshops, and presentations

Skills and attributes for success                                                                       

• 1-5 years experience working in a technology consulting practice, delivering strategy and custom application development projects (this includes co-op and internship experience)
• Strong technical background in computer science and business
• Technology skills –
  • GitHub, GitHub CoPilot, Visual Studio Code, MCP Server setup and use
  • Vibe coding of JavaScript and Java applications with Frontier LLMs (Sonnet, Opus, ChatGPT)
• Experience with AI-driven application development and modernization
• Ability to analyze legacy systems for security vulnerabilities using AI
• Experience managing teams of 2-3 resources for project delivery.
• Strong communicator with experience presenting technology strategy to clients
• Strategic mindset with a focus on value delivery
• Eligible for federal government security clearance

Ideally, you’ll also

• Hold a joint degree in computer science and business
• Have completed multiple internships in the technology sector, with hands-on experience in application development
• Demonstrate experience working in client-facing roles and supporting presentations

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

• Toronto: $64,000 to $96,000
