We currently are seeking for an experienced Senior Manager in Technology Strategy & Transformation. Our Technology Strategy & Transformation Consulting team is focused on helping clients create their technology vision, deliver on technology enabled business outcomes such as improving business performance or accelerating operational efficiency, transforming employee or customer experiences, all while managing risk and complex stakeholder landscapes. As a Technology Strategy & Transformation professional, you'll engage with business and government leaders to provide insights and strategic advice for Technology Transformation across organizations. We are looking for candidates with experience in Technology Strategy and Digital / Technology Operating Model transformation to lead clients to: 

  • Conduct strategic technology planning aligning to the clients’ business objectives. This includes defining the technology strategies, plans, roadmaps, business cases, budgets, etc. to inform executive level  priorities and decision making for technology at the client organization. 
  • Identify, shape, and define the use of mature (e.g. ERP, data & analytics) and emerging technologies (e.g.AI, AR/VR) to create business value for the client organization. 
  • Understand the clients’ current technology operating model through objective assessment of their capabilities – including talent, sourcing, processes, and technology landscape 
  • Transform the clients’ digital/technology operating model in-line with their vision, based on detailed options and recommendations, utilizing appropriate modern delivery methods such as Agile, DevSecOps, Product Management, Citizen Development and/or Modern Workforce concepts 
  • Build on recommendations with execution roadmaps and plans that resonate with clients as applicable, viable and executable  
  • Develop the necessary organizational design by developing org structures, job profiles that will help realize the transformation and attract the necessary talent  
  • Work more effectively by developing the modern methods, practices and processes and shifting mindset and behaviours (e.g. agile mindset) to support new ways of working that will enable the technology  functions to enhance their performance, driving enhanced business value 
  • Define the governance and processes that will enable the technology function to perform their role moreeffectively in future  
  • Position technology to explain and align the services provided to the organization capabilities and business results, supporting the evolution from cost management to value chain support and creation 
  • Position technology to drive business value and innovation through understanding applicable trends and making informed recommendations to the client based on this assessment  
  • Understand the degree and cadence of change through the development of strategic roadmaps and change plans, that take account of the need for technology functions to run, grow, and transform

Your key responsibilities 

  

Your role as a Senior Manager will be as a leader and trusted advisor to create meaningful impact with EY’s global clients. An important part of your role will be to actively develop and lead internal and external relationships. You will lead and manage business opportunities which lead to EY engagements. Similarly, you will lead and manage 

projects, demonstrate commitment to high quality work products, anticipate and identify risks within  engagements, and enable actions to mitigate, escalate, or resolve any issues. As an influential member of the  leadership team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture and coach, counsel, and develop team members  to support their development.  

 

The following are key activities for the role:

  • Demonstrate an applied understanding in technology and business strategy concepts, business/technology transformations, operating models, service delivery transformation all while considering the disruptive technology trends (e.g. DevOps, Agile, AI/ML, Cloud, APIs, product management, human centered design)  which are prevalent in today’s economy.  
  • Lead the delivery of quality services by demonstrating excellent client service such as establishing plans and objectives, adopting strong program/project management, focusing on delivery of client business priorities, managing expectations of outcomes, scope, budget, and implementing practices to achieve high quality deliverables within expected timeframes. Lead the engagement team as the direct point of contact to serve clients and keep key stakeholders informed about progress, risk management and expected outcomes. 
  • Lead, develop and maintain productive relationships with client executives and management and foster relationships within the firm across various areas of the global EY network to serve client needs. 
  • Demonstrate high level of professional and technical knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge and relevant research to help solve complex business problems. Understand the client's industry and recognize  key performance drivers, industry and business trends, and current developments in consulting services capabilities. Additionally, get involved in the development of points of view, thought leadership, business  development and market opportunities. 
  • Lead new business opportunities by understanding and communicating EY’s capabilities and services, and how we can drive impact with clients. This includes leading business development activities (e.g. respondingto RFPs, preparing proposals, contracts, building relationships with clients, conducting sale of new business,  develop relationships with partners and tech ecosystem, establishing new relationships between a  client/prospect and EY counterparts across the firm).  
  • Lead practice and people development including the development of the practice Technology Strategy &  Transformation capabilities, creating a positive team environment and leading management efforts such asrecruitment. 
  • Execute the highest standards of engagement management to enable EY to deliver quality outcomes for clients, through developing and managing the project plan, managing engagement economics, and complying with all relevant quality and risk management procedures.

  • Passion for learning about the latest trends surrounding technology and how integrated to the client’s technology landscape to drive value 

   

To qualify for the role, you’ll have: 

  • At the Senior Manager level, a minimum of eight years’ experience with a consulting firm offering management and/or technology related services or a successful track record in technology strategy and  transformation related initiatives, in a client-facing or advisory/project/transformation role within an  organization, with preference for individuals who have additional professional experience delivery technology  transformation/supporting internal strategy development  
  • Experience in leading the delivery of a variety of technology related strategy and transformation projects as described in the ‘opportunity’ section above 
  • Experience leading, managing, and delivering projects in a technology/digital environment, managing both external clients/stakeholders and internal leaders and project teams 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

  • Experience in leading and managing business development efforts (sales planning and pursuits, RFP responses, proposals) across two or more sector/industries 
  • Experience in the leading and managing consulting engagements (developing and managing project plans, engagement economics, quality and risk management) across two or more sector/industries  
  • Experience in the development and/or implementation of Agile/Product-oriented operating models 
  • A university or post graduate degree and relevant professional designation (certifications such as  PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL, Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe, TOGAF and others are considered relevant) 
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs, while we experienced changes to the way we work with our clients (often hybrid), some travel may still required – up to a maximum of 80% of your time
