The opportunity

The purpose of the global EY organization is to Build a Better Working World. The insights and services the organization provides help to drive long-term value for clients, people and society and to build trust in the capital markets. An essential function under EY Business Enablement, Supply Chain Services (SCS), is a global team with more than 600 professionals in over 35 countries supporting the EY organization across the globe. This structure helps enable knowledge-sharing across categories and regions, streamlining efforts in seeking innovative suppliers that can provide exceptional client service to maximize SCS’s value for the EY organization and the world's supply chain.

 

A key component of SCS is Global Procurement, whose purpose is to drive significant synergies and value creation from sourcing to contract lifecycle management, deliver exceptional client experiences and build more vital collaboration to manage Technology, Talent, Alliances and Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) categories. We forge meaningful supplier relationships and strengthen supplier resilience to help EY maximize long-term value for its people, clients and communities.

 

EY Technology (EYT) creates, manages, and operates all the technology used by EY covering the entire process lifecycle, from understanding the needs of the organization’s different areas and service lines, through defining appropriate strategy and architecture, to the delivery of solutions and managed operational services.

 

The Enterprise Technology Procurement team supports the procurement needs of EYT’s infrastructure and services organization at a global enterprise scale (Enterprise Technology). The Information Security Procurement team supports the procurement needs of EYT’s information security requirements (Information Security). The Client Technology Procurement team supports key programs and solutions globally in partnership with our EYT and Service Line colleagues in order to continue to enhance EY’s position as technology driven industry leader (Client Technology).

Global Procurement drives synergy from sourcing through contract lifecycle management, strengthens supplier resilience and delivers exceptional internal client experience across Technology, Talent, Alliances and BMC categories. Technology Procurement is part of Global Procurement focusing on the technology requirements from EYT, our client Service Lines and Business Enablement functions, procuring and managing circa $1.8B of spend annually.

 

Your key responsibilities

The Technology Procurement Supervising Associate reports into a Technology Procurement Leader within the Technology Procurement team and is responsible for sourcing strategy and execution, customer engagement and experience, and vendor management support in line with the Global Procurement Policy and Processes. More specific responsibilities may include:

  • Lead end-to-end technology sourcing strategies and complex commercial negotiations across global and regional Member Firm engagements, ensuring alignment with the global technology and procurement strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across EYT, Service Lines, Business Enablement functions, and Member Firms managing multiple sourcing initiatives and delivering successful commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and execute strategies for assigned technology categories, balancing innovation, cost optimization, risk management, and supplier performance.
  • Partner closely with Legal (GCO), Risk Management, and Information Security teams to negotiate commercial, legal, privacy, and data protection terms that mitigate enterprise risk and ensure compliance with global policies.
  • Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of technology sourcing and contracts, including supplier selection, onboarding, contracting, renewals, and license management for key suppliers and strategic programs.
  • Drive value realization by identifying, tracking, and reporting financial and non‑financial benefits, including cost savings, cost avoidance, and strategic value delivered to stakeholders.
  • Strengthen procurement processes, policies, systems, management information, and reporting to improve efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder experience.
  • Lead market intelligence and supplier research activities to ensure competitive sourcing outcomes, innovation, and sustainable supplier relationships.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
  • Experience with negotiating contracts for large global organizations.
  • Experience of managing complex service agreements both from the commercial and service delivery side.
  • Experience performing procurement and working with stakeholders and supplier management in a complex global environment.
  • Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders.
  • Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc.) in a global environment.
  • Excellent time management including the ability to independently manage and prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for challenge.
  • Focus on client needs with excellent client service experience.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have: 

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years technology procurement experience.
  • Experience with negotiating purchases of software licenses, cloud-based solutions, GenAI solutions and professional services for complex, global organizations.
  • Experience with stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
  • Thorough understanding of associated commercial, regulatory, legal and privacy risks of purchasing technology and strong experience effectively mediating such risks through negotiations.
  • Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders.
  • Good working knowledge of technology suppliers, new technologies and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc.) in a global environment.
  • The ability to independently manage and prioritize workload

 

Ideally, you will also have

  • Alternatively, technology or business operations experience may be considered in lieu of some, or potentially all, of the sourcing experience for the right candidate.
  • Experience negotiating for multiple Service delivery models (Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, etc.)

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.   

  

  • Toronto: $75,600 to $113,400
