The Opportunity

 

The EY Canada Social Media team believes there is no magic involved with social media; it’s marketing, communications strategy, and subject matter knowledge. We are not social media gurus, ninjas, wizards, or mavens: we are insights and data driven marketers, managing organic and paid social media campaign efforts, efforts, data analysis and creative development. If you’re an individual who strikes the right balance between technical campaign management capability, innate creativity and strong storytelling skills, we want to hear from you.

 

We’re seeking a curious candidate that is highly data-driven to propel our social and market presence forward and client-focused to work collaboratively with stakeholders across our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and firm to execute our day-to-day social media presence. Reporting to and working alongside our Team Lead, Social Media, you will be representing the voice of our clients and our firm, monitoring conversations, creating and posting content, and managing the daily operations of various social platforms. The role is focused on engaging, building and proactively managing authentic conversation through organic and paid media to achieve our KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on organic and paid social media strategy, creating and publishing content that safeguards brand values and brand reputation from copy creation, translation, image selection and reviews through to social media calendar management, tracking and analytics
  • Manage the workflow and publishing of social content to the platform – planning and maintaining an editorial calendar, and aligning cross-functionally across the EY ecosystem
  • Engage in baseline community management, such as daily social communication, social listening, and monitoring
  • Enhance and grow our employee advocacy social strategy and tool use
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate proactively and working collaboratively with team members on competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, bridging between sales and marketing to embolden our combined efforts
  • Learn, share and stay on top of social media report best practices: testing, analyzing, and making strategic recommendations based on community, brand, and lead generation KPIs vs. vanity metrics


Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • A strategic and growth mindset focused on initiating new social ideas to elevate the EY brand
  • Understanding of social media best practices and platforms
  • Experience with social media A/B testing and analytics
  • Collaboration with internal teams and firm leaders to deliver best-in-class campaigns/content, managing communication style and context accordingly
  • Ensuring high-quality social voice for all EY content, including adhering to style guidelines, and enabling a consistent brand voice
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including having an art for effective storytelling that connects with the hearts and minds of people
  • Flexible and adaptable to adjust to evolving needs and priorities


To qualify for the role you must have

  • 2-3 years of experience planning, creating, implementing, and measuring high-quality social media campaigns; B2B experience preferred but not required
  • Experience managing organic and paid media on Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Excellent knowledge of social platform capabilities and best practices
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to test, accept and learn from pilots
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of social KPIs, measurement and attribution models for social
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, yet dynamic work environment and able to multitask on a variety of different projects with strong project management skills
  • An understanding of how social media fits into the larger marketing and firm ecosystem
  • Organized and articulate, with impeccable attention to detail and a hunger to contribute


Ideally you will also have:

  • Experience with Hootsuite, YouTube, Sprinklr, or Marketo
  • Experience with Asana
  • This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and professionals nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role. Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset.


The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $52,400 to $78,600. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
