Senior Consultant and Manager - DevOps Engineering

Skills and attributes for Success

To qualify for the role you must have:

• 3 - 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• 2 Years+ experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experienced in incident management, problem triaging ensuring smooth and uninterrupted platform operations.
• Certifications focused on DevOps/solution architecture from leading cloud platforms an asset.
• Familiarity with various methodologies, frameworks, and technologies relevant to data management including data quality and data governance.
• Demonstrated expertise in latest streaming technologies, data engineering, and big data frameworks, including Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop. Proficient in leveraging advanced data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Services, Collibra, and Power BI/Tableau to architect robust and scalable solutions.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience with scripting languages, like Python, PowerShell, Shell and Linux environments
• Experience in build tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Azure DevOps for continuous integration
• Integration experience in building and using APIs or other integration endpoints.
• Solid foundation in system architecture, especially in building, scalable and robust cloud-based solutions and developing end-to-end ML systems.
• Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps methodologies and tools to elevate our clients cloud platform's capabilities and support decision-making processes.

What we look for:

• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, with experience selling to clients and handling RFPs.
• Establish pilots and POC’s for proposed solutions for new solutions or frameworks.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at taking ownership for project delivery.
• Excel at balancing tasks, as they may need to support multiple projects simultaneously in some situations while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
• Able to effectively lead and upskill junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
