The opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Lead to join our HR Technology practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of payroll strategy, compliance, and digital enablement. You will lead payroll transformation engagements that help clients deliver accurate, compliant, and employee-friendly payroll experiences using SAP SuccessFactors.
As a Manager or Senior Consultant, you’ll play a hands-on role in designing, configuring, and deploying payroll solutions while guiding clients through transformation with precision and empathy.
Your key responsibilities
Client Engagement & Strategy
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll leaders to shape payroll strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate workshops to translate payroll vision into SAP SuccessFactors capabilities.
- Advise clients on payroll best practices, compliance standards, and operational efficiency.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead the configuration and deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, including integration with Employee Central and Time Management.
- Design payroll processes, rules, and validations tailored to client needs.
- Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems (e.g., tax engines, benefits platforms, banking systems).
Experience & Innovation
- Apply design thinking to create payroll experiences that are intuitive, transparent, and inclusive.
- Introduce innovations such as self-service payroll dashboards, mobile pay slips, and real-time payroll simulations.
- Continuously improve payroll processes through analytics, automation, and employee feedback.
Project Delivery
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
- Support testing, training, and change enablement activities.
Team Collaboration
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the SAP COI and HR tech team.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and employee lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and related modules.
- Ability to manage client relationships and lead workshops.
- Proficiency in system configuration, data migration, and integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally where fluency in French and English is required. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR or payroll technology consulting, with a focus on SAP SuccessFactors.
- Proven experience implementing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.

- Experience working with global clients and distributed teams.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Certifications in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Time Management.
- Experience with payroll analytics and reporting platforms.
- Exposure to multi-country payroll and regulatory requirements.
What we look for
- You bring precision, empathy, and structure to payroll design.
- You elevate payroll from a transaction to a trusted experience.
- You build trust with clients and teams through clarity, confidence, and delivery excellence.
- You connect payroll to broader talent and business strategies—and tell that story well.
