Your key responsibilities

 

As an SAP Retail Lead with a focus in SAP S/4HANA, you will design and deploy SAP S4 Retail solutions, collaborating with project and operational teams to align business needs with SAP capabilities.

 

You will engage with clients to gather and analyse business requirements related to retail operations and design, configure, and implement SAP Retail solutions, including modules such as SAP IS-Retail, SAP Fiori, and SAP CAR. Additionally, you will configure SAP functionalities to meet specific retail business needs, including point-of-sale integration, inventory and replenishment, promotions, and pricing.

 

You will be actively involved in all project phases and provide technological solution support. Additionally, you will work closely with business counterparts to design and create SAP solutions that enhance business processes and support business goals and strategies.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and execute Change Requests from Process design through Functional Specifications and Implementation, including coordination of resource partners for end-to-end process coverage.
  • Maintain ongoing collaboration with business stakeholders and peers to gather and interpret user/system requirements, pain points and process issues.
  • Develop and maintain prioritization of change requests.
  • Leading stakeholders in detailed business process blueprint activities to create blueprints and use cases/user stories.
  • Preparing detailed functional specifications for development requirements.
  • Executing unit testing, functional testing, and system integration testing is completed to the company's standards.
  • Ensuring 2nd/3rd level support and liaising with key users to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Participating in the development and review of training materials and taking part in training delivery where required for new releases of SAP or in cases of changes and enhancements in SAP functionality.
  • Maintain updated knowledge on SAP best-practices, roadmap and technologies to provide informed architectural and design decisions.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A relevant university degree or technical diploma.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with SAP Retail modules (e.g., SAP IS-Retail, SAP S/4HANA Retail).
  • Strong understanding of retail business processes such as merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and omni-channel commerce.
  • Proven experience in SAP configuration, customisation, and integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • SAP certification in retail or related modules is preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives, e-commerce platforms, and mobile retail applications.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Prior consulting experience and a demonstrated history of driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience in Canadian retail market practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
  • Project management experience is an asset.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $90,000 to $165,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
