The opportunity

 

Join EY’s dynamic People Consulting team as a Payroll Implementation Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact payroll solutions to clients across industries.

This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll-certified professional with deep expertise in Records of Employment (ROE), year-end processing, and general ledger (GL) integration to contribute to transformative payroll implementations and help build a better working world.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end payroll system implementations for clients, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Proven experience with ROE processing, year-end reporting, and GL integration.
  • Strong technical knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration of payroll data with general ledger systems.
  • Support year-end processes including T4 generation, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
  • Configure payroll systems to support earnings, deductions, tax setups, ROE codes, and GL mappings.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand payroll needs and translate them into system specifications.

  • Stay current with payroll legislation and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Provide training and documentation to clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Be familiar with HRIS or ERP systems integration.
  • Have experience with payroll software such as ADP, UKG, Payworks, Workday, or Ceridian.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

 

Ideally, you’ll also

  • Hold a payroll certification (e.g., PCP or CPM from the Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent).
  • Be bilingual (English/French) – an asset.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

    • Toronto : $62,000 to $93,000
    • Ottawa : $58,500 to $88,500
