The opportunity

 

Transaction Strategy and Execution - IT works on complex transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in operations who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Managers are responsible for leading workstreams and engagements, translating client needs into project tasks and deliverables, manage day-to-day problem-solving and team analytical activities, and serve as key liaisons between consulting team members, Partners, and our clients. 

As a manager, you will lead teams in performance of technology assessments and recommendations for our clients across a variety of IT and business functions.  Examples from post acquisition integration opportunities, ITSM performance, software rationalizations, cost analysis and optimization, strategy, enterprise architecture etc.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Analytical individual that has performed as an IT professional in various roles across the IT spectrum with varied industry experience.
  • Someone that can consume, synthesize and report on large amounts of information in a thoughtful and insightful manner, well presented keeping the client audience in mind, while doing so in a fast-paced environment
  • Review transaction rationale and/or deal documents to identify critical business issues and risks relating to a proposed transaction.
  • Manage and motivate workstreams and teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Develop, manage and mentor junior team members at the Consultant levels.
     

To qualify for the position, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance and at least 5 years of information technology related work experience (strategy consulting work experience a plus)
  • At least 3 years of experience managing technology projects in complex environments
  • Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, when necessary (approximately 25-50%)
     

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • An MBA with two years of related work experience or graduate degree with at least three years of related work experience, with a particular focus on client advisory or strategic planning within a professional services environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
