The EY-P Learning Leader is responsible for shaping and executing the learning and capability-building strategy for the Canadian EY-P Canada practice. The role oversees learning across the talent lifecycle, including onboarding, technical capability development, leadership development, and continuous professional growth.

 

Working closely with Learning and Development teams in Canada and around the globe, EY-P leaders, Learning Champions, Talent, Risk and Quality, the Learning Leader sets priorities, advises the business, and oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of learning initiatives.

 

Success requires strong business acumen, leadership presence, operational discipline, and the ability to influence across a complex matrix while leading a responsive, high-performing learning team.

 

This opportunity may occasionally require early morning or evening commitments to support local deployments and global collaboration.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the EY-P Canada learning strategy and roadmap, aligning investments and capability priorities with business strategy, workforce needs, talent priorities and global EY-Parthenon direction.

  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business priorities and emerging skill needs into practical, scalable, capability-building solutions.

  • Oversee the EY-P learning portfolio across technical, consulting, leadership, onboarding, and future-focused capabilities.

  • Partner with learning champions, facilitators, subject matter resources, Talent, Risk and Quality, and business leaders to identify needs, drive adoption, and maximize impact.

  • Advance AI capability-building and change enablement by embedding responsible AI and new ways of working into learning experiences and business practices.

  • Lead learning governance and compliance activities, including mandatory learning, continuing education requirements, policy guidance, funding decisions, and risk management.

  • Provide guidance on learning policies, external education requests, sponsorships and funding decisions, ensuring requests are assessed consistently against learning mandates, business relevance, policy requirements and available budgets.

  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, vendors, contracts and investment decisions, applying sound judgment to prioritize resources, control costs and deliver within approved parameters.

  • Lead, coach and prioritize the work of the EY-P learning team, establishing clear accountabilities, effective operating rhythms and strong service standards.

  • Represent EY-P Canada in national and global learning forums, influence enterprise initiatives, and connect the practice to relevant firmwide capabilities, platforms and communities.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 8+ years of experience in learning, capability development or a related field.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

  • Proven ability to lead complex programs and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, consulting and relationship management skills.

  • Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and adaptability, with an interest in emerging technologies and AI.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or a related field considered a strong asset.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

  • Vancouver/Victoria: $126,800 to $211,300

  • Dieppe: $114,000 to $190,000
