Your Key Responsibilities
Here, you’ll handle a wide portfolio of clients, each with their own backgrounds, strengths and ambitions, so no two days will be the same. That could mean working to improve our clients’ ITAM and SAM practices wherever the clients are in their maturity journey. Wherever you find yourself, you’ll be making a visible impact on projects that cross borders and challenge conventional wisdom to encourage transformation. You’ll often work on-site to personally understand and influence our clients – which could require you to be ready for some travel.
Skills and attributes for success
- In depth understanding of products, licensing metrics and license consumption calculation of major software publishers, like IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, VMWare, RedHat, etc.
- Preparing license position reports, identifying license gaps/risks and optimization opportunities
- Acting as an evangelist to handle all aspects of ITAM/SAM projects including activity tracking, follow up, escalation
- Analytical and have good understanding of ITAM/SAM data
- Be able to glean insights from ITAM/SAM data
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Three or more years of ITAM/SAM experience as a practitioner
- Good understanding of one or more ITAM/SAM tools, like ServiceNow, Flexera, ILMT, SNOW, Aspera, Remedy, etc.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A bachelor's degree
- ITAM/SAM Certifications
- Experience working in a large cross-functional team environment
- Ability to design and implement Hardware and Software asset management artifacts (policies, standards, process, controls, governance, tool requirements) that satisfy client’s requirements
- Ability/experience to perform assessment of current state, define target state and prepare roadmap to achieve the target state
