At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The Opportunity

Winning isn’t just about the close. It’s about the way companies experience our differentiated value proposition at the beginning and across the middle that will ultimately define our future success as a professional services firm. Getting there means delivering meaningful touchpoints in the right ways and at the right time to create distinctly personal content and joined-up experiences for clients and potential clients that help answer the big questions they’re asking every single day.

In this role the Assistant Director – Content Strategist and Execution has an exciting chance to play a part in redefining the way a large-scale organization like ours engages audiences, cultivates relationships and drives leads through content. You will play a vital role in supporting EY Canada’s Brand, Marketing and Communications team. In this role you will be the subject matter expert for the firm on the content strategy. The business and marketing teams will look to you for recommendation on the right tactics, formats and channels to execute the content in a cohesive omni-channel manner. In this role you will have oversight on all the projects/campaigns in flight to ensure a seamless and strategic execution of our content to our external stakeholders through an integrated approach.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own and manage the content calendar to ensure a streamlined, multichannel strategy across all internal and external channels, incorporating content lifecycle management from creation to archiving.
  • Utilize critical thinking to anticipate outcomes, proactively connecting the dots between internal and external communications, broader marketing efforts, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Employ content personalization and targeting strategies, alongside SEO principles, to deliver relevant content to diverse audience segments and increase visibility and engagement.
  • Foster collaboration across Brand, Marketing, and Communications teams, contributing creative ideas to strategize and execute powerful activations that drive account growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on effective content strategies and optimizing communications across specific channels and mediums.
  • Leverage analytics and data to inform content strategies, ensuring all content is compliant with industry regulations and consistent with the brand's voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital and paid media experts, demand generation teams, translators, and creative agencies, to develop and finalize comprehensive content strategy and execution plans.
  • Manage budgets efficiently for content creation and distribution, adapting strategies to reflect changing market trends, consumer behaviours, and advancements in digital technology.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and experimentation with new content formats and technologies, while ensuring a commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and professional development within the team.
  • Maintain proficiency with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and other relevant digital tools, with a keen understanding of intellectual property considerations in content creation and distribution.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on the right content strategy. For example, instead of 20 different communications, we would be more effective with 5 communications focused on specific channels and mediums
  • Ensure all content is compliant with industry regulations and consistent with the brand's voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
