As a Manager in our Canadian Banking Technology Consulting team within the Platforms group, you’ll help leading financial institutions transform their businesses through technology, innovation, and the power of our people. You’ll work with top executives to create and realize strategies for modernization, data migration, cloud migration, and core banking transformation. Each engagement is unique, requiring you to excel in ambiguous situations, manage multiple projects, and deliver long-term solutions with confidence. You’ll have the opportunity to imagine the future and create it, crafting and implementing ideas for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for managing client engagements, working with high-performing teams to analyze, evaluate and enhance our clients’ capital markets businesses. You will interface with clients at all levels of an organization to help them solve their most challenging questions and support the Capital Markets practice in developing new offerings and thought leadership to take to market, enhancing our capabilities and services.

You will spend most of your time assisting in all phases of client delivery in an exciting variety of projects.
You will demonstrate a strong interest and understanding of the financial services sector, including banking, payments, wealth, asset management, insurance, and market infrastructure. You are familiar with the tools and systems used throughout front, middle, and back-office operations, and have a passion for innovation, digital strategy, and driving efficiency for our clients.
You will be a critical thinker with strong analytical and communication skills.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience working in a front office and sales strategy role or in a technology and operations strategy role; you will have insights into inefficiencies in businesses and how to improve organizational performance
- Experience in defining and delivering digital and data-led transformations, and you will be passionate about innovation
- Expertise cultivating mid- to senior-level relationships with clients and the ability to interact with clients up to the C-suite level
- An understanding of clients’ needs and will develop new service offerings to meet their needs, including providing advice on defining and designing business strategies, operations and other functional strategies, process framework guidelines and target operating models; improving business processes; and supporting business integration

- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience working within a financial services organization or providing advisory services to financial services clients; or a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of two (2) recent years of experience within the Financial Services industry, including banking, payments, wealth and asset management, insurance, or financial market infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing small, mid-sized, and large initiatives, business functions, or transformation programs within a financial services environment.
- Broad understanding of financial services products and services, which may include deposits and payments, lending, wealth and asset management products, insurance products, digital assets, and emerging financial technologies.
- Knowledge of financial services industry segments, such as retail and commercial banking, payments, wealth and asset management, insurance, custody, fund services, and financial market infrastructure.
- Experience working in a strategy, transformation, or operating model role across the front, middle, or back office, with demonstrated impact on business performance, operating efficiency, risk management, or client experience.
- Ability to translate business strategy into executable initiatives, including target operating models, governance structures, process design, and technology enablement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business, risk, compliance, operations, and technology leaders.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as this role involves on-site client engagement.
- Expertise in Digital Assets: Demonstrated knowledge of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokenization, and blockchain technology, and their implications for financial services industry.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital assets, including AML/KYC requirements, and ability to ensure compliance within capital markets operations.
- Market Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends and developments in digital assets, providing insights to inform investment strategies and risk management.
- Technology Integration: Experience in integrating digital asset solutions with existing core banking services and legacy infrastructure, including trading platforms and settlement systems.
- Client Advisory: Provide expert advice to clients on digital asset investment opportunities, risk assessment, and portfolio diversification strategies.
- Collaboration with Tech Teams: Work closely with technology teams to develop and implement innovative digital asset products and services that meet client needs.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with digital asset investments, including market volatility and cybersecurity threats.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in the digital asset space to enhance service offerings and maintain competitive advantage.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
