Your key responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Develop and implement Test Strategies tailored to feature designs, incorporating functional, security, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Oversee ETL testing processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in migration and transformation workflows.
- Lead the development and execution of automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and HP UFT, ensuring adherence to test automation best practices.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams (BAs, Manual Testers, Developers) in an agile SDLC environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive test automation initiatives and mentor team members in testing tools and methodologies.
Domain Expertise
Banking & Finance
- Manage QA efforts for complex banking systems, such as core banking platforms, payment gateways, and fraud detection systems.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in data workflows, including AML and KYC processes.
Business Development Support
- Lead and contribute to RFP responses by showcasing QA capabilities and aligning with client requirements.
- Develop technical proposals and deliver impactful client presentations to drive new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align QA strategies with customer and business objectives.
Skills and attributes for success
- Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies and deliverables.
- Proficiency in test automation tools like Selenium, HP UFT, and others.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Consulting experience, with the ability to translate complex requirements into effective digital strategies.
- Knowledge of future trends in technology, compliance, and automation, applying them to innovative solutions.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Understanding of testing methodologies, deliverables and familiarization with the SDLC
- 7+ year of experience in an Automation Test lead or Tester role
- 7+ years of Software implementation experience preferably on transformation projects
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium and HP UFT
- Consulting experience will be a strong asset
- Proven expertise in Banking, and ETL testing domains.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of 6–12 members.
- Ability to build client relationships and foster new revenue opportunities.
Nice to Have
- AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Knowledge: Understanding the concepts and regulations around AML, including KYC (Know Your Customer), suspicious activity detection, and regulatory reporting. Familiarity with how iGaming platforms must comply with Ontario's regulatory frameworks and gaming laws.
- Gaming Industry Familiarity: Knowledge of how online gaming platforms operate, including customer registration, transaction monitoring, reporting requirements, and handling sensitive player data. Familiarity with the risks specific to online gaming.
- Regulatory Reporting: Understanding of what kind of data and reports are required for regulatory compliance in iGaming, and how to validate that those reports are correctly generated, accurate, and timely.
Education
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or similar discipline; supported by experience in a similar technical environment
Experience
- A customer-focused approach to work, and the ability to translate often-complex requirements into decisive digital platform strategies
- The confidence to build lasting relationships and influence senior colleagues and clients from a wide range of backgrounds
- A flair for identifying and capitalizing on new revenue streams

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $90,000 to $165,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
