Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer AWS

The opportunity

We're looking for a passionate, cloud-focused Senior DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer to build, automate, and secure cloud infrastructure. You'll own infrastructure-as-code, strengthen security posture across the pipeline, and help shape solid AWS foundations aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud best practices. A key part of this role is the ability to analyze existing infrastructure and propose meaningful improvements — in security, reliability, cost, and automation. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who genuinely loves the cloud and wants to make automation and security first-class citizens of how we work.

Your key responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Help establish and strengthen AWS foundations — multi-account setup, AWS Organizations, guardrails, and landing-zone best practices
• Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS best practices across our environments
• Analyze existing infrastructure and propose improvements across security, scalability, resilience, performance, and cost
• Embed security into every stage of the delivery lifecycle (DevSecOps): automated security checks, least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and continuous compliance
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable, automated delivery
• Support cloud migration efforts (lift-and-shift, re-platform, modernization)
• Manage IaC workflows and governance (Terraform state, modules, policy-as-code)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve cloud environments
• Collaborate with development, security, and platform teams to drive best practices

Skills and attributes for success

• 5–6+ years of professional experience in DevOps / cloud / platform engineering
• Strong, primarily AWS-focused hands-on experience, with familiarity across the most common AWS services (compute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring, databases)
• Experience applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS best practices
• Experience building AWS foundations and working with AWS Organizations (multi-account, guardrails, governance)
• Proven Infrastructure as Code experience — Terraform preferred (this is a core requirement)
• Hands-on cloud migration experience
• Ability to analyze existing environments and recommend practical improvements
• A genuine passion for cloud technology and continuous learning
• Strong CI/CD and automation fundamentals

Ideally you`ll also

• Bring cross-cloud experience (Azure and/or GCP) — a definite plus
• Hold AWS certifications: DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or any AWS Specialty
• Demonstrate experience with Spacelift (or similar IaC orchestration/management platforms)
• Apply policy-as-code, security scanning, and compliance tooling experience
• Leverage containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
