Junior Cyber AI Engineer

The opportunity

As a junior in our Cyber Security practice, you will support the design and development of AI/ML-driven capabilities that help our clients detect, investigate and respond to cyber threats. Working alongside experienced cyber and AI engineers, you will gain hands-on exposure to applied AI in security operations, contribute to real client projects, and learn how AI is integrated responsibly into modern cyber defense programs.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the development and testing of AI/ML models and GenAI-based solutions for security use cases (alert triage, phishing analysis, anomaly detection, log enrichment, threat intelligence correlation);
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that feed AI models with security telemetry from SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud and identity sources;
• Contribute to AI-assisted automations and prototypes that accelerate SOC analyst workflows and reporting;
• Help integrate AI capabilities with existing security tooling (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Crowdstrike, SOAR platforms) through APIs and scripts;
• Participate in evaluating model performance and support tuning of detection logic and prompts under the guidance of senior engineers;
• Learn and apply AI governance and security best practices (prompt injection mitigation, data protection, OWASP LLM Top 10);
• Document technical work, prepare internal demos and share learnings with the team.

Skills and attributes for success

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field;
• Foundational knowledge of programming in Python, including exposure to AI/ML or data libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain or similar) through coursework, personal projects or previous internships;
• Basic understanding of Large Language Models and prompt engineering concepts;
• Awareness of cybersecurity fundamentals: common attack techniques, SOC operations, MITRE ATT&CK and log analysis;
• Full professional proficiency in English, especially in technical writing and oral communication;
• Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills, with eagerness to learn and convey technical concepts clearly.

Ideally you`ll also

• Have hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) and its AI/ML services;
• Have exposure to SIEM/XDR/SOAR platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Crowdstrike or equivalent) through coursework, labs or previous internships;
• Demonstrate personal projects, CTF participation, GitHub contributions or completed online courses/certifications in cybersecurity or AI (e.g. TryHackMe, HackTheBox, DeepLearning.AI, Microsoft SC-900, AWS Cloud Practitioner).
