At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence. We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity:

At EY, we work with international organizations, governments, and development partners to address complex public sector challenges and create long-term social and economic value.

Our Government and Public Sector (GPS) team in Georgia contributes to a wide range of projects, including national strategies, policy development, and research-driven initiatives across different sectors.

About the Internship:

We are looking for Interns to join our team for a one to three-month learning experience.

This internship is designed for individuals who are interested in public sector consulting and want to gain practical exposure to how large-scale projects are developed and delivered.

Interns will not be expected to take on high levels of responsibility. Instead, they will learn how the team operates, contribute to smaller tasks with guidance, and gradually build skills in research, analysis, and professional work environments.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Support the team with research and data collection
  • Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting reports and presentations
  • Learn how consulting teams develop strategies, proposals, and analytical outputs
  • Work with internal tools and become familiar with project workflows
  • Contribute to ongoing projects in a supporting role under close supervision
  • Potentially participate in field visits with the team as part of project work, which may include travel within Georgia and occasional overnight stays

What You Will Gain:

  • Exposure to real public sector and development projects
  • Insight into how national-level strategies and research initiatives are developed
  • Hands-on experience with research, writing, and structured analysis
  • Understanding of working in a professional consulting environment
  • Mentorship and feedback from experienced team members
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment, with opportunities to build strong professional relationships

At the end of the internship, high-performing interns will be offered a longer-term entry level  paid  position, with the potential of further career development within EY.

What we look for:

  • We are looking for individuals who are genuinely interested in public policy, consulting, or development work, and who are curious, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a structured environment.
  • We welcome applicants from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, including public administration, political science, international relations, tourism hospitality studies, economics, business, data science, social sciences, philosophy, environmental studies, gender studies or other related fields.
  • We also value candidates who bring unique perspectives, experience or specific interests, such as tourism, sustainable development, technology, artificial intelligence, economics, or other areas.

We welcome applications from students in their final semester, recent graduates, master’s students and individuals who have completed their studies and are looking to gain or transition into experience in this field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Final semester bachelor’s student or holder of a bachelor’s degree obtained no later than September 2026
  • Excellent command of English and Georgian, both written and spoken
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice to Have:

  • Previous internship or work experience, including experience in consulting firms, research organizations, embassies, international development organizations, NGOs, student organizations, or research projects
  • Experience working in team-based or structured environments
  • Familiarity with research methods, either qualitative or quantitative
  • Ongoing or completed Master’s Degree in fields such as Public Policy, Public Administration, Governance, Economics, Development Studies, Sustainability, Tourism or Hospitality Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

Important to Know:

This is an unpaid internship designed as a learning opportunity
Interns will have limited responsibility and will work under supervision.
