Job role/opportunity:
EY’s approach to business planning - and specifically workforce planning - is being driven to support better business decisions for the short and longer term enabling the business to be more responsive to the disruptive forces in our market such as automation, new revenue streams and the gig economy. 
 
Workforce planning capability is being progressively developed across EY with our aspiration to build an industry leading organizational capability and supporting toolkit, enabling a competitive edge in our markets. The deployment journey will build upon an internal network of capable workforce planners, able to inform the business with insights to make decisions using a series of business decision making support tools and enable the workforce process to make it happen where it is not yet implemented. We are investing in the Workforce Planning Centre of Excellence to deliver this.


Workforce Planning Supervising Associate is an individual with a depth of operational experience and will be responsible for completing the assigned activities to ensure the successful deployment of workforce planning process to their assigned Region/Country/SL.

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Essential Functions: 
•    Central to building out the regional workforce planning capability across the EY globe
•    Conducting research, forecasting, and analysis of data and external trends to support and enable EY's strategic vision.
•    Provides a depth of operational experience and therefore credibility to progress the development, deployment and sustainable operation of a suite of strategic and operational workforce planning tools across the regional EY organization (SWP and IOWP tools)
•    Provides insight and leadership to region-focused workforce planning teams across the regional organization including geographies, Service Lines, Talent, Finance, Operations and Markets
•    Delivery of integrated business planning processes connecting Market Leadership Planning, Strategic Workforce Planning, Financial Planning & Budgeting, and Operational Workforce Planning ensuring alignment of business strategy and operational execution.
•    Accountable for the development of and champions regional workforce planning guidelines, processes and procedures in conjunction with the Talent Executive, Digital Talent, Finance, Operation, Markets and Area/Region personnel
•    Responsible for the development and production of relevant Workforce Planning Management reporting based on a sound knowledge of operational experience
•    Accountable for the management and resolution of escalated issues from across the EY business  
•    Leading ad hoc projects related to Workforce Planning and wider Digital Talent activity as required
•    Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions 
•    Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures related to internal and external factors influencing the workforce and proactively translating the strategic needs into specific strategies and requirements
•    Own and manages senior business leader relationships requiring strong consulting and influencing skills.
•    Deputizing for the Global Workforce Planning Area Deployment Lead as appropriate

Qualification Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
•    At least 8 years of professional experience
•    Experience in workforce planning would be an advantage
•    Flexibility in working hours to accommodate multiple time zones as needed; willing to adjust work schedule as necessary to meet peak demands and customer requirements
•    Exposure of handling international customers/client interaction
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills
•    Advanced analytical skills
•    Deep understanding of the professional services industry, marketplace, and possible trends that may affect business outcomes
•    Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
•    Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management in a complex matrix environment
•    Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals in a virtual setting
•    Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a virtual team.
•    Global mindset and ability to work in a virtual environment
•    Strong experience in deploying sophisticated workforce planning programs in complex region environments.
•    Demonstrable experience of being influential across senior levels of the organization, from Region SL to Area level Senior Leadership
