The opportunity

The Workplace Procurement Services (WPS) team is responsible for procurement strategy and execution services connected to operating EY offices at nearly 800 locations around the world, while also meeting the workplace needs of 350,000 employees across 50 countries. Over 20 professionals make up this globally distributed group, which manages yearly expenditures of about $500 million.  
The Supervising Associate - WPS Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the ASEAN and OCEANIA Regional Workplace Procurement leader by helping to create and implement procurement strategies, carry out sourcing tasks and administration, engage stakeholders, and manage vendors in the Workplace Services category for the ASEAN and OCEANIA regions.
This role is responsible for providing procurement services for facilities, including food services, reception, utilities, property and security maintenance, cleaning, parking, mailroom, storage, office supplies and equipment, furniture, fixtures, and CapEx projects.


Your key responsibilities

This position, supervised by the WPS Regional Procurement Leader, will involve the following responsibilities:
•    Manage and monitor a portfolio of Procurement initiatives to advance category strategy objectives, collaborating closely with Procurement leadership and key stakeholders.
•    Responsible for managing sourcing projects and category management activities from start to finish for EY business stakeholders, as well as overseeing commercial relationships with major suppliers.
•    Manage complex RFPs, conduct commercial contract negotiations, and collaborate with stakeholders and teams like GCO, Risk Management, and Vendor Assurance.
•    Serve as a reliable business advisor to EY stakeholders, ensuring procurement initiatives are strategically aligned with the organization’s objectives. Deliver outstanding customer service while generating both brand and quantifiable value through cost savings and cost avoidance.
•    Comprehend and adhere to EY procurement policies, offer guidance to stakeholders, and collaborate with Legal, Risk Management, and other support teams.
•    Meet value targets by creating cost-saving strategies through sourcing, demand management, spend consolidation, and supplier rationalization.
•    Collaborate with fellow EY Procurement leads to manage projects in areas lacking category support or when specialised sourcing skills are needed.
•    Ensure precise monthly reporting of deals and prompt submission of savings documentation.

To qualify for the role we desire
•    experience in Procurement in a collaborative, high-performance environment
•    Experience in facilities and talent categories of expenditure preferred but not essential, your ability to learn and develop your subject matter expertise within these categories can be provided by COE’s, colleagues and on the job experience given you can demonstrate an ability to learn, adapt and be flexible with solid understanding of procurement fundamentals
•    Procurement expertise and a track record of setting strategies, leading Procurement projects, driving negotiations, and implementing SRM initiatives;
•    Strong business acumen in order to drive results and ability to link business needs to sourcing strategies; 
•    Effective decision-making skills that increase the speed and efficiency of processes;
•    Cultural awareness to build relationships, align efforts, and effectively influence;
•    Assertive in sharing ideas, clear and concise, and seek to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholder audiences;

Ideally, you’ll also have
•    Business degree (not essential) or relevant qualifications or experience 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills in business English
•    Flexible to travel on occasion for stakeholder, supplier, and Procurement team meetings; and
