Job Description
I&O Platform Infrastructure AI-Native DevSecOps Developer
Supervising Associate  |  Enterprise Technology

The opportunity
In a plan to strengthen and extend our footprint in EY Enterprise Technology we are looking for an innovative AI-Native DevSecOps Developer to rapidly design, build and ship custom software products that automate, orchestrate and modernize EY's infrastructure platform engineering capabilities. This is not a traditional software engineering role — it is a product builder position for someone who uses AI as their primary development accelerator and who thrives on shipping working software quickly.

The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of AI-native internal products — self-service infrastructure portals, workflow orchestration engines, policy-as-code enforcement systems and operational automation platforms — built on modern cloud-native stacks including Kubernetes, Temporal, Terraform and Angular. They will have sufficient infrastructure awareness to understand the operational context of what they are building, and will work closely with I&O engineering teams to translate complex infrastructure workflows into elegant, automated, AI-augmented software solutions.

Your key responsibilities
The I&O Platform Infrastructure AI-Native DevSecOps Developer designs and delivers bespoke internal software products that eliminate manual infrastructure workflows, accelerate provisioning and give engineers and stakeholders real-time, self-service operational visibility. Drawing on AI coding tools as a core development accelerant, this professional dramatically compresses delivery timelines — prototyping, iterating and shipping production-grade software at a pace that traditional development workflows cannot match.

The role spans the full software development lifecycle — from requirements and architecture through build, test, security hardening, deployment and ongoing improvement — with a security-first mindset embedded at every stage. The developer will own the product delivery end-to-end, partnering with I&O platform engineers, architects and service management stakeholders to ensure what is built reflects the real operational needs of the infrastructure estate and is designed to scale across EY's global data center footprint.

Skills and attributes for success
–    Demonstrated ability to build and ship production-grade software rapidly using AI development tools as a primary delivery accelerant (exclusionary).
–    Deep, active use of AI coding assistants throughout the development lifecycle, including:
–    GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI pair-programming tools
–    ChatGPT, Claude or similar LLMs for architecture design, code generation and review
–    AI-assisted test generation, security scanning and code refactoring
–    Prompt engineering for development workflow automation
–    Strong full-stack development capability across front-end and back-end disciplines:
–    Angular (v14+) for self-service portal and operational UI development
–    Python or Go for back-end services, APIs and automation engines
–    REST and GraphQL API design and implementation
–    Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration platforms, particularly Temporal.io.
–    Strong Kubernetes engineering skills — deployment, Helm charts, operators, RBAC and namespace management.
–    Infrastructure-as-Code authoring using Terraform and Ansible for provisioning automation.
–    Strong DevSecOps pipeline development — CI/CD design, security gate integration and automated deployment:
–    GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines
–    SAST/DAST tooling integration (Snyk, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP or equivalent)
–    Container image scanning and policy enforcement (Trivy, Cosign, OPA/Gatekeeper)
–    Policy-as-Code implementation using Open Policy Agent (OPA) or equivalent.
–    Experience building AI-native product features, including:
–    LLM integration via API (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic or equivalent)
–    Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns for operational knowledge bases
–    AI-driven workflow decision making and self-healing automation
–    Copilot / chat interface integration into operational tooling
–    Sufficient infrastructure platform knowledge to design software that reflects real-world operational constraints:
–    Virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure concepts (Nutanix, Hyper-V, VMware)
–    Windows Server and Linux operating system fundamentals
–    Networking concepts — VLANs, DNS, IP management, load balancing
–    Storage and compute provisioning workflows
–    ServiceNow ITSM integration patterns
–    Strong software product ownership mindset — able to take a problem statement from whiteboard to production with minimal hand-holding.
–    Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to demo working software and articulate product decisions to both technical and executive audiences.
–    Strong working knowledge of Agile, Kanban, SCRUM and ITIL frameworks.

To qualify for the role, you must have experience with
–    Full-stack software product development and delivery — 5–7 years.
–    AI-assisted software development as an active daily workflow — 2+ years.
–    Angular front-end application development (v14+) — 3–5 years.
–    Python or Go back-end service development — 5+ years.
–    Kubernetes cluster management and application deployment — 3–5 years.
–    Terraform and Ansible Infrastructure-as-Code authoring — 3–5 years.
–    Temporal.io or equivalent workflow orchestration platform (Argo, Conductor or equivalent).
–    CI/CD pipeline development with integrated security gates — 3–5 years.
–    LLM API integration for production AI-native product features.
–    Open Policy Agent (OPA) or equivalent policy-as-code enforcement.
–    REST API design, development and documentation.
–    Container build, scanning and secure image management (Docker, Podman).
–    Git-based source control and pull-request-driven development workflows (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
–    SAST/DAST security tooling integration in CI pipelines.
–    ITSM platform integration — ServiceNow API or equivalent.
–    Agile sprint-based delivery with regular demo and release cadences.
–    Infrastructure provisioning workflow automation (VM builds, network configuration, DNS/IP management).
–    Helm chart authoring for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment.

Ideally, you'll also have
–    Microsoft Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or equivalent cloud certification (desired).
–    Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or CKA certification (better to have).
–    HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification (desired).
–    ITIL v4 Foundation certification (exclusionary).
–    Experience building on or integrating with Nutanix platform APIs (NCM, Prism, Calm).
–    Experience with Temporal Cloud or self-hosted Temporal cluster operations.
–    Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or Azure AI Studio for enterprise AI product development.
–    Familiarity with GitOps patterns using ArgoCD or Flux for continuous deployment.
–    Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source infrastructure automation projects.

What we look for
A builder — someone who moves fast, thinks in systems and ships working software that solves real infrastructure problems. We are looking for an individual who genuinely uses AI as a development superpower, who understands enough about infrastructure to design software that works in the real world, and who takes pride in owning a product end-to-end from first commit to production. The ideal candidate has already built something like HCSP — a platform that replaces manual, multi-portal, error-prone operational workflows with a single automated, observable, self-healing system — and is ready to do it again at EY scale.

What we offer
We offer a competitive remuneration package where you'll be rewarded for your individual and team performance. Our comprehensive Total Rewards package includes support for flexible working and career development. Plus, we offer:

–    Continuous learning: You'll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
–    Success as defined by you: We'll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
–    Transformative leadership: We'll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.
–    Diverse and inclusive culture: You'll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.
