This is a great opportunity to be a part of the APAC Finance Advisory Center (FAC). The FAC is a joint initiative between Finance and Global Delivery Services (GDS) to deliver high value finance advisory roles spanning the Planning, Budgeting and Finance Analysis (PBFA), Markets Finance and Controlling functions. 

 

The opportunity
As the APAC PBFA Finance Supervisor, you will be a trusted business advisor supporting the Consulting Area Platform and Finance leadership on varied analytical matters related to the operational results. This role provides analytical reviews on monthly and periodic financial numbers, insightful support to the leadership on planning cycle, forecasting, managing various ad hoc projects and business initiatives in support of the APAC Finance function.  

 

Your key responsibilities
•    Assist in monitoring and tracking the financial results, providing insights to leaders on performance and outlook and helping identify areas and opportunities for improvement.
•    Assist with the development of long-range and current year business plans and forecast exercises, including development of excel-based models for the business to use and co-ordination of consolidated region view and associated reporting.
•    Prepare monthly management reports and provide revenue and cost analysis and projections.
•    Involve in synthesizing and communicating detailed financial information to business leaders; assist in identifying any potential risks which might impact service line performance and coordinate with the Team in providing strategic input to support effective decision making
•    Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process including liaising with regional and Service Line finance leaders through these processes
•    Assist in funding requests including tracking, monitoring and invoicing with Regions and Global
•    Execute regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis and data mining projects as needed by leaders
•    Build effective working relationships with the extended Finance and Operations teams, becoming a key point of contact.

 

Skills and attributes for success
We are interested in people with a very positive attitude and a penchant for constant learning. As a successful candidate you will have relevant functional experience managing activities in the PBFA domain and hands-on experience on technical tools like MS Office as well as ERP applications like Peoplesoft, SAP etc.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have
•    A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent.
•    Membership of accredited professional accounting bodies (CPA / ACCA / CIMA etc.) is desirable.
•    At least 5-7 years’ experience in finance related roles (mainly Financial Planning & Analysis)

•    Positive attitude coupled with excellent problem-solving skills
•    Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze problems, design and implement solutions independently. 
•    Advanced Excel & data visualization skills are essential. Experience building and using multi-input financial models is desirable in particular, plus ability to manipulate and draw trends from large amounts of data.
•    Demonstrated experience working in a matrix organization structure
•    Team oriented approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and the ability to prioritize several conflicting demands to meet exacting deadlines.
•    Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
•    Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment and flex style as appropriate.
•    Excellent communication skills as well as English language skill, written and verbal; excellent presentation and client advisory skill. 
•    Working knowledge of Power BI or similar tools with skillset around creating financial dashboards
