Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Consultant to lead system configuration, testing, and implementation activities for enterprise payroll and HR technology solutions. This role will partner with clients, project managers, and technical teams to design configurations, drive testing strategies, and ensure successful solution deployment. The ideal candidate combines strong functional expertise with excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Configuration & Implementation
•    Configure and deploy payroll, HR, and workforce technology solutions based on defined business requirements and design specifications.
•    Translate business requirements into scalable system configurations and implementation solutions.
•    Configure business rules, templates, workflows, data mappings, and solution components.
•    Support end-to-end implementation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Validate configuration accuracy and ensure alignment with client requirements.
•    Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
Testing & Quality Assurance
•    Develop and execute test scenarios, test scripts, and validation activities.
•    Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production readiness activities.
•    Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
•    Validate outputs against business requirements and expected system behavior.
•    Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout implementation and deployment activities.
Data Analysis & Technical Support
•    Work with structured data files, including Excel, CSV, XML, and other data formats.
•    Perform data validation, analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.
•    Assist with data mapping, transformation, and implementation support tasks.
•    Collaborate with technical teams to resolve system and integration-related issues.
•    Support reporting and operational readiness initiatives.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
•    Develop and maintain configuration documentation, implementation guides, testing evidence, and solution specifications.
•    Create implementation checklists, process documentation, and knowledge repositories.
•    Prepare project deliverables and operational handover documentation.
•    Ensure documentation complies with organizational quality and governance standards.
•    Support knowledge transfer and training activities for internal teams and clients.
Stakeholder Engagement & Project Delivery
•    Collaborate with internal teams, project managers, business stakeholders, and clients throughout implementation engagements.
•    Participate in workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, solution reviews, and project discussions.
•    Communicate implementation progress, risks, dependencies, and issues effectively.
•    Contribute to project governance, status reporting, and delivery planning activities.
•    Build trusted relationships with stakeholders through professional consulting practices.
Continuous Improvement
•    Identify opportunities to improve implementation methodologies, processes, and quality standards.
•    Promote best practices across configuration, testing, documentation, and delivery activities.
•    Stay current with emerging payroll technologies, implementation approaches, and industry trends.
•    Support mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and team development initiatives where applicable.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline, preferably with a strong affinity for technology, systems, or data-driven solutions.
•    3 to 8 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: 
o    Software implementation
o    System configuration
o    Application support
o    Payroll technology
o    HR technology
o    Enterprise software consulting
o    Business systems administration
•    Experience supporting or participating in technology implementation projects.
•    Understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working with structured data.
•    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic project environment.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong stakeholder management and collaboration capabilities.
•    High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•    Strong ownership mindset and accountability for deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience with payroll, Human Capital Management (HCM), HRIS, workforce management, or ERP platforms.
•    Exposure to solutions such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, ADP or similar enterprise systems.
•    Understanding of data transformation, integration concepts, and structured data formats such as XML and CSV.
•    Familiarity with business process mapping, workflow design, or process modeling tools.
•    Experience working on global or multi-country technology implementations.
•    Exposure to reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
•    Knowledge of automation, testing frameworks, or implementation methodologies.
