Job purpose  
As a staff you will be a member of the team and:  

·    You will prepare corporate income tax returns and render services for organizations in diverse and specialized industries;  
·    You will Identify tax savings and risk-reducing opportunities for clients to consider;  
·    You will analyze the tax return and reporting impacts of corporate restructuring and planning strategies;  
·    You will create processes that minimize a client's tax compliance risk;  
·    You will prepare estimated tax liabilities to assist a client in meeting their tax payment;  
·    You have an affinity with Tax and you feel excited to kickstart your career in Tax;  
·    You have a good communication skill;  
·    You are a motivated person and a team player.  

·    Amenability to do hybrid work set up (More than 2 days per week) in Mckinley West, Taguig

 

Responsibilities 
As a Tax Analyst / Advanced Tax Analyst in GDS Oceania Direct Tax team, you will be focused on  preparation of Australia corporate income tax returns. Your main responsibilities as an Tax/Advanced  Tax Analyst are:   
·    Prepare corporate tax returns and file (where applicable) these returns via the country specific filing tool - applicable to GDS only.   
·    Demonstrate an understating of basic tax concepts and proactively increases tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.   
·    Multi - Task on various projects within the tax segment and be cross trained.   
·    Proposing improvement possibilities to raise effectiveness and efficiency of the work processes.   
·    Develop and deliver quality and timely services and work products efficiently.   
·    Comply with Ernst & Young compliance procedure.   
·    Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation and any latest developments and tax rulings.  

 

Skills and attributes for success: 
•    Graduate and/or professional certification in a business related subject matter (i.e. Accounting,  Finance)  
•    Very good spoken and written English  
•    It is expected that this individual works with minimum supervision of Senior team members  
•    Ability to work in a virtual global organization respecting international cultures  
•    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively  
•    Good presentation, leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills  
•    Able to demonstrate initiative in approach to problem solving  
•    Computer proficiency; be proficient or trainable in complex aspects of financial software packages, including Essbase, Hyperion, Business Objects  
•    Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, predominantly Excel, PowerPoint  
•    Travel may be required based on business need
