Job purpose
This role leads the end-to-end Procure to Pay (P2P) process delivery with a focus on transactional excellence, compliance, automation enablement, and analytics-led performance management.
The position supports multi-country operations, drives process improvement and standardization, and ensures alignment with internal controls, SOX, and client service-level commitments.
The Senior acts as the first line of review and escalation point for staff, ensuring consistent quality, exception resolution, and digital adoption across the P2P cycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Process Delivery & Governance
• Supervise and review the end-to-end P2P operations, including:
o Vendor Master Data creation and modification
o Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order management
o Invoice receipt validation, 2/3-way matching, and posting
o Payment proposal review, execution, and exception handling
o Vendor reconciliations and query management
• Conduct first-level quality checks and control reviews for invoices, PO compliance, and vendor payments to ensure accuracy and policy adherence.
• Manage aging, open items, and GR/IR reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Review and approve process trackers, dashboards, and reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy and SLA adherence.
• Liaise with procurement, operations, finance, and vendor teams to resolve escalations and improve turnaround time.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, statutory audit, and internal governance frameworks.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual posting, liability reconciliation, and payment forecast reviews.
Digital & Analytical Enablement
• Leverage AI-assisted invoice processing, OCR, workflow automation, and Power BI dashboards for data accuracy and visibility.
• Drive automation initiatives, including digital invoice validation, exception prediction, and self-service vendor query models.
• Perform data analytics and trend analysis on vendor performance, processing errors, and aging metrics to identify improvement areas.
• Collaborate with internal technology and transformation teams into pilot and scale process digitalization projects.
• Mentor and guide staff on automation tools and digital best practices (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, AI Agents).
• Identify and implement root cause corrective actions for recurring system or process exceptions.
Collaboration & Governance
• Act as a primary contact point for internal stakeholders and client teams on process delivery, escalations, and compliance reviews.
• Partner with procurement and vendor governance teams to maintain supplier data integrity and compliance with approval hierarchies.
• Support transition/migration projects, ensuring knowledge capture, documentation updates, and smooth process handover.
• Ensure SOPs, checklists, and desk procedures are maintained and updated in alignment with global process standards.
• Contribute to client governance calls and operational reviews with performance metrics and process insights.
Functional & Technical Skills
• Comprehensive understanding of the Procure to Pay lifecycle, with working expertise in:
o Vendor Master Data and Compliance
o PO Management and Requisition Processing
o Invoice Processing, 2/3-way Match, and Accrual Posting
o Vendor Payment Runs and Bank Reconciliations
o Vendor Query and Exception Management
• Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP, Business Central, D365, or Ariba.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation templates, automation formulas).
• Understanding of SOX, audit compliance, and financial controls in a shared service environment.
• Familiarity with tax compliance processes (e.g., TDS, VAT, withholding tax) preferred.
• Awareness and working exposure to automation tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, AI Agents, UiPath).

Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy/Management Accounting (preferred) or related field
• Experience: 5–10 years of experience in P2P or Accounts Payable process delivery and governance.
• Firsthand exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, D365, or Business Central.
• Experience with digital transformation, RPA implementation, or process automation is highly desirable.
• Prior involvement in multi-country delivery or transition/migration projects is an advantage.
