The opportunity

We’re looking for Senior with expertise in SAP R/3 or S4 Revenue Recognition and Reporting (RAR) to join our Practice. The SAP RAR Consultant/Analyst is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the SAP RAR module within an organization. This role ensures that the company's revenue recognition processes adhere to accounting standards and best practices. The SAP RAR Consultant/Analyst collaborates with various stakeholders, including finance, IT, and business teams, to streamline revenue accounting and reporting processes.

 

Your key responsibilities
•    SAP RAR Implementation: Implement and configure the SAP RAR module to meet the organization's revenue recognition needs. Ensure proper integration with other SAP modules and systems.
•    Revenue Recognition Compliance: Stay updated on accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 15 and ASC 606) and ensure that revenue recognition policies and practices comply with these standards.
•    Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within revenue accounting and reporting. Propose and implement solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
•    Data Analysis: Analyze revenue data to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial reporting.
•    User Training: Train end-users and stakeholders on SAP RAR functionality, best practices, and compliance requirements.
•    Documentation: Maintain documentation related to SAP RAR configurations, processes, and changes. Ensure that all processes and configurations are well-documented.
•    Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support to resolve issues and answer questions related to SAP RAR. Investigate and address any system or data anomalies.
•    Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the SAP RAR system. Perform regular testing for system upgrades and enhancements.
•    Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and legal departments, to align revenue accounting practices with business goals and strategies.
•    Participate in designing the SAP FICO Solutions for the customers / clients
•    Prepare functional specification for customization and Z developments
•    Ability to assess the SAP control environment/configuration and benchmark it with the standard SAP config.
•    Ability to communicate with both the Business as well as with the Technical staff
•    Have a control mind-set and bring ideas about automating controls using SAP
•    Deliver the SAP FICO projects with basic understanding of other SAP modules
•    Build strong internal relationships within the firm and with other services across the organization
•    Ability to identify gaps and provide estimate of efforts needed to fix them using SAP

 

Skills and attributes for success

•    The candidate should be able to drive the technical solution of SAP FICO projects in SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA
•    Should also have basic understanding of SAP SD and SAP MM module.
•    Candidate should be able to guide the team and communicate effectively with client and manage the projects with due balance of scope, cost & time
•    Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting standards (IFRS 15, ASC 606, etc.).
•    Knowledge of SAP Financials, SAP S/4HANA, and related modules is a plus

 

To qualify for the role, you must have
•    Approximately 5-8 years of recent relevant work experience.
•    Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
•    Proven experience in implementing and configuring SAP RAR or other SAP modules.
•    Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting standards (IFRS 15, ASC 606, etc.).
•    Knowledge of SAP Financials, SAP S/4HANA, and related modules is a plus.

 

Good to have
•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•    Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
•    Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
•    Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
