Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

We’re looking for a Cloud Architect (Manager) with expertise and hands-on experience on Cloud Computing and enterprise technology architecture. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

The Digital Engineering (DE) practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation.  We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization.  Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s DE team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.
Your Key Responsibilities
►    Partner with clients, business leaders, and technical workstreams to understand business goals, functional needs, and enterprise architecture requirements.
►    Lead the architectural design of cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with best practices, security standards, and organizational strategy.
►    Architect and oversee the setup, governance, and optimization of Azure DevOps environments across programs and teams.
►    Design enterprise-grade CI/CD architectures supporting on-premises, hybrid, and Azure-based solutions.
►    Define and guide the implementation of CI/CD patterns for diverse technology stacks (Java, .NET, SQL, Data & Analytics, Power Platform).
►    Establish DevSecOps architecture standards and integrate security tools (SonarCloud, Veracode, Fortify, etc.) into delivery pipelines.
►    Provide architectural leadership on automation using Terraform or Bicep—including module design, reusable patterns, and infrastructure-as-code governance.
►    Architect solution orchestration and workflow automation strategies across platforms and tools.
►    Define cloud-native architectures using Azure services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIM, AKS, Event-driven designs, and microservices.
►    Provide architectural oversight for API design, integration patterns, data flows, and application modernization initiatives.
►    Guide teams through solution reviews, architecture governance, performance optimization, and cloud readiness assessments.

Skills and attributes for success
►    Strong architecture experience across full-stack solutions (Angular/React + .NET, or equivalent modern frameworks).
►    Deep expertise in Azure cloud services across PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS—including application integration, API management, networking, identity, and security.
►    Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration patterns (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
►    Expertise in Azure DevOps architecture (pipelines, branching strategies, governance, automation workflows).
►    Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code architecture using Terraform or Bicep, including module libraries, state management, and deployment patterns.
►    Experience designing end-to-end API architectures, data access layers, and service integration patterns.
►    Familiar with enterprise integration frameworks and microservices architecture.
►    Solid understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and modern delivery models at a program or enterprise scale.

►    Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear architectural documentation and client-facing presentations (PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel).
►    Experience leading cross-functional teams, providing technical mentorship, conducting architecture reviews, and guiding technical decision-making.
►    Proven ability to conduct cloud assessments, define cloud transformation roadmaps, and create reference architectures.
►    Capability to lead evaluations of emerging tools and technologies, drive proofs of concept, and recommend enterprise-ready cloud solutions.
►    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills—able to bridge business, engineering, and executive stakeholders.

►    Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
►    10–14+ years of industry experience, with substantial hands-on cloud engineering/development background or architecture roles.
►    Strong experience with Azure SQL, Logic Apps, Functions, APIM, Web Apps, AKS, and other Azure services.
►    Expertise in Azure DevOps, Terraform/Bicep, Kubernetes, Docker, Angular/React, and .NET.
►    Experience with NoSQL technologies (Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
►    Strong background in designing enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
►    Experience working within CMMI, Agile, SAFE, or similar enterprise delivery methodologies.
►    Foster teamwork and lead by example
