EY – Technology Assurance Senior Consultant (Japanese Speaking)
Technology Assurance provides independent assurance and risk advisory services focused on evaluating information technology, systems, processes, and controls that support business operations and financial reporting. Our services help organizations build trust, manage risk, and meet regulatory and contractual expectations. Engagements span assurance and risk advisory work and vary in scope and complexity.
As a Japanese speaking Technology Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering end to end Technology Assurance engagements, interacting directly with Japanese clients, leading key workstreams, and mentoring junior team members. You will apply strong technical expertise, professional judgment, and cultural awareness to deliver high quality outcomes.

The Opportunity
EY’s Technology Assurance services aim to strengthen governance, enhance internal controls, and improve IT and business performance. The work includes financial audit IT support, SOC/SSAE engagements, IT governance and risk management, ERP and system controls, cybersecurity, and data and analytics.
As a Senior Consultant, you will assume increased responsibility for planning, execution, and review, while serving as a trusted point of contact for clients and engagement leadership.

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead and execute Technology Assurance and IT risk engagements, working closely with Managers and Senior Managers.
•    Own assigned engagement workstreams, including planning, execution, documentation, and issue resolution.
•    Serve as a key contact for Japanese clients and stakeholders, facilitating discussions and meetings in Japanese and English.
•    Review audit working papers, risk assessments, and deliverables prepared by Associates
•    Apply EY methodologies related to IT controls, risk assessment, control testing, remediation, and reporting.
•    Identify control gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and clearly articulate recommendations to clients.
•    Provide coaching and performance feedback to junior team members.
•    Support engagement management activities such as timelines, deliverable tracking, and quality assurance.
•    Collaborate effectively with offshore and onshore EY teams across regions.
•    Demonstrate strong understanding of Japanese business practices and cultural norms to enhance client relationships.

Skills and Attributes for Success
•    Fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension); JLPT N3–N1 preferred.
•    With appreciation of IT controls, IT audit concepts, and assurance methodologies.
•    Proven ability to lead tasks independently and manage multiple priorities.
•    Strong analytical, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
•    Effective stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
•    Ability to mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
•    Proactive, detail oriented, and quality focused mindset.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•    Typically with relevant experience in Technology Assurance, IT Audit, IT Risk, or related consulting roles.
•    Prior experience as IT Auditor, Technology Risk Consultant, IT Compliance Analyst, Information Security Consultant, or in similar roles.
•    Willingness to work onsite at McKinley Hill, Taguig City, as required.
•    Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods or critical engagement phases.
